Job Description
The role of a Portfolio Implementation Analyst is to support the implementation of model portfolios into client portfolios, ensuring alignment with investment strategy while accommodating client, system, and product constraints. The role will work closely with Portfolio Management to understand portfolios’ target states, and investment managers to understand the unique requirements of discretionary portfolio service mandates. The individual will be responsible for ensuring client portfolios continued Suitability, whilst feeding back to Portfolio Managers and investment managers any constraints. Additionally, the role will ensure adherence to risk and compliance metrics and contribute collegiately to the commercial team.
As Portfolio Implementation Analyst, your responsibilities will include among others:-
- Executing portfolio implementation tasks with low complexity and volume
- Monitoring and manage portfolio drift and dispersion
- Cash management as part of day-to-day implementation (raising cash for withdrawals, fees and planned payments)
- Tax-aware implementation, including CGT management and ISA subscription activity
- Excel capability and slightly more specific “desirable” experience points (model implementation experience, systems exposure, wrapper/tax awareness)
- Assist in managing trading errors and ensuring compliance with risk protocols
- Support the adoption of model portfolios across the team’s AUM
- Collaborate with Portfolio Managers to ensure accurate and timely implementation
- Adhere to risk and compliance metrics
Qualifications
Skills & Experience
To be successful in this role, you should:-
- Have experience in investment or portfolio operations
- Have an understanding of the financial services industry and investment market
- Possess a strong ethic of client and customer service
- Prior experience using Avaloq, Xplan and/or Aladdin would be beneficial and working with portfolio and trading data
- Ability to work well in pressurised environment and prioritise work
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Good numeracy and analytical skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow structured processes
- Basic understanding of investment products and portfolio construction
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
Professional Qualifications and Education
- Working towards the IMC or equivalent level 4 qualification
