Opportunity:
This is an exciting new opportunity at XR to join our team in the role of Senior Management Accountant – Payroll based in our Shared Service Center in Budapest. The ideal candidate will be responsible for reviewing payroll-related reconciliations, ensuring compliance, preparing complex variance analysis, mentoring junior staff, supporting audits, and escalating issues to the R2R Team Lead/Manager.
Job Responsibilities:
- Review reconciliations and journals prepared by Juniors/MAs
- Ensure compliance with payroll-related US GAAP requirements
- Mentor junior payroll accountants and provide technical guidance
- Prepare complex variance analysis and reports for management
- Support audits, liaise with auditors, escalate complex issues
- Support the filing of the payroll text returns
- Manage responsibilities for North America, covering US and CA entities
Education & Professional Experience
- 4–6 years payroll accounting/finance
- Bachelor’s in Accounting/Finance
- CPA/ACCA progress a plus
Preferred Skills
- Advanced payroll accounting
- ERP/HRIS
- Excel advanced
- NetSuite preferred
- Workday/ADP
- Strong understanding of payroll-related GAAP accounting, controls and compliance
