OPPORTUNITY
The Senior Analyst, Commercial Asset Management will work in a highly collaborative and cross-functional team environment in the core areas of analysis, strategy execution and reporting. Given the fluid nature of the Asset Management function, ad hoc projects will form a meaningful part of the Senior Analyst’s activities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Analysis
- Supporting in the analysis, as well as taking a leadership role, with external consultants in areas of appraisal, insurance, and property tax, among others, and providing recommendations based on this analysis.
- Supporting analysis in areas of fund performance, asset-level sensitivities, market analysis, and debt structuring.
- Supporting analysis for acquisition and disposition activities, in collaboration with the Investment and Development teams.
- Liaising with the Property Management, Leasing and Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) teams to build and maintain cash flow and Argus valuation models.
Strategy Execution
- Supporting analysis for value-add strategies across the commercial portfolio.
- Sensitivity analyses to assess the value impact of intensification, re-leasing, capital improvements, development, cost management and revenue enhancement activities .
- Market research for comparable sales or other metrics, in collaboration with the Investment team and external brokers.
Reporting
- Collaborating with the Finance, Investments and FP&A teams for regular reporting activities.
- Liaising with the FP&A team for regular presentation materials for both internal management and investor clients.
- Participation in the reforecast and budget cycles cross-functionally.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in the commercial real estate industry, in Investments, Development, Valuations, or Asset Management, or a related field
- Strong interest and curiosity in real estate markets and economic trends
- Strong initiative and critical thinking skills, proactive and collaborative demeanor
- Completion of an undergraduate degree in business, economics, real estate, or a related field, with a preference for candidates with a graduate degree or relevant designation (CA, CFA, CBV or similar)
- Strong Excel skills and associated cash flow modelling and valuation experience (IRR, NPV, DCF, NER)
- Experience with Argus Enterprise software
- Experience with PowerPoint and preparation of external presentation materials
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate recommendations in a concise and timely manner
- Detail oriented with an acute ability to manage deadlines and function in both an entrepreneurial and corporate setting

LOCATION
Toronto & Oakville – Hybrid 3 days a week in-office.

PAY RANGE
The expected base pay range for this position is:
$100,000.00 - $120,000.00
