We’re looking for an experienced Senior Accounting Specialist to join our Finance team and support the accounting operations of our growing international business. The role suits a hands-on professional who enjoys owning key processes and improving how things are done in a fast-moving environment.
As a Senior Accounting Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial records, smooth closing cycles, and reliable reconciliations, while supporting continuous improvement in our accounting processes.
Responsibilities
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of financial transactions, including operating expenses, employee expense reports, and other financial entries.
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
Actively participate in and support monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes.
Perform bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
Perform monthly intercompany reconciliations across legal entities.
Participate in ferry reconciliation processes and support related analyses.
Ensure proper documentation and archiving of invoices, reconciliations, and supporting financial records.
Contribute to process improvements, automation initiatives, and new system implementations to increase efficiency and data accuracy.
Handle ad hoc accounting tasks and support finance-related projects as needed.
Requirements
Required qualifications, skills & knowledge
6+ years of experience in accounting or finance roles, ideally within an international business.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; professional certifications (e.g., ACCA, CPA) are a plus.
Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and compliance requirements.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with Softone or other accounting software is a plus.
Fluent in English.
