About the Business
You’ll be supporting a growing Australian multi-entity group operating across:
- Freight forwarding ( CargoWise)
- Warehousing
- Import and inventory distribution ( Unleashed)
- Multi-currency trading environments
The business operates across several related entities, meaning accuracy, integration and visibility matter. A lot.
The Purpose of the Role
To maintain accurate, real-time financial data across multiple trading entities by managing:
- Daily accounting ( Xero)
- System integrations
- Job profitability checks
- Compliance obligations
- Cashflow awareness
And most importantly, identifying problems before they become expensive problems.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Own daily accounting across multiple entities in Xero, including reconciliations, payables, receivables and FX management.
- Ensure 100% accurate bank reconciliations and close month-end within 5 business days.
- Oversee CargoWise integration, including WIP, accruals, invoice exports, GST accuracy and job profitability visibility.
- Reconcile inventory and landed costs between Unleashed and Xero, ensuring COGS and margin accuracy.
- Monitor debtor ageing, manage cashflow prioritisation and flag out-of-terms accounts.
- Support Australian GST coding and BAS preparation, maintaining full compliance and audit integrity.
- Identify margin leakage, system gaps and process inefficiencies, then document and improve internal SOPs.

- Month-end closed within 5 business days
- Less than 2% invoice error rate
- Debtor days within agreed targets
- Accurate monthly inventory reconciliation
- Zero compliance breaches
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years bookkeeping experience
- Strong Xero capability
- Experience with CargoWise and/or Unleashed (highly desirable)
- Multi-entity experience
- Exposure to freight, logistics or inventory-based businesses
- Strong understanding of FX and multi-currency accounting
- Comfortable questioning discrepancies
- Strong written communication
- Calm under pressure
- Highly detail-oriented
- Process improvement mindset
