This role partners closely with Finance, Legal, and regional People leaders to design scalable frameworks that ensure our people programs operate with precision, consistency, and integrity across all geographies.

This is a full-time, hybrid position based out of our Oakland, CA or Denver, CO office. Our hybrid work model offers a blend of remote flexibility and in-person collaboration, including two days in the office each week to connect and build as a team.

  • Partner with IT and systems vendors and stakeholders to utilize and scale our systems, driving automation, reporting accuracy, and integration across systems (Workday, payroll, equity, benefits).
  • Standardize and continuously improve operational processes, focusing on scalability, quality, and employee experience.
  • Develop and monitor HR operations KPIs and service level metrics.

Global Compliance & Risk Management

  • Build and maintain a robust global compliance framework covering employment law, benefits, data privacy (GDPR, CCPA), and local labor regulations.
  • Partner with Legal and external experts to ensure compliance in all jurisdictions.
  • Oversee audits, risk assessments, and policy updates across global HR functions.
  • Ensure HR readiness for regulatory filings and due diligence processes related to IPO or M&A activity.

Entity Expansion & Mobility

  • Lead entity setup and PEO/EOR expansion strategy to support global growth.

  • Partner with Finance and Legal on employment structures, benefits design, and payroll compliance across new markets.

  • Develop global mobility policies and frameworks that balance compliance, cost, and talent experience.

Public Company Readiness & M&A Integration

  • Partner with Legal, Finance, and People leadership to prepare HR systems, data, and processes for public company readiness, including audit readiness, governance, and controls.
  • Lead HR due diligence and integration efforts for M&A transactions, ensuring seamless employee transitions and compliance continuity.

Leadership & Strategy

  • Lead and develop a high-performing global HR Operations team that centers employee experience and drives efficiency through metrics, automation, and AI-enabled improvements.
  • Build strong partnerships across People, Finance, and Legal to align strategies and ensure cohesive execution.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the Chief People Officer and executive leadership on all operational, compliance, and governance matters.

Skills We’re Looking For

  • 12+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years leading global HR operations or compliance functions.
  • Experience in high-growth, global organizations; public company or IPO experience strongly preferred.
