FX Digital is a specialist Connected TV agency, providing a wide range of services, including Product Strategy, Design, Engineering, and Test Automation. We partner with global streaming brands such as Discovery+, BritBox, ATP Media, ITV, and Dyn.

As a Senior Software Engineer at FX Digital, you take a leading role in shaping the technical direction of our Connected TV and living room experiences.

With your extensive experience in application development and web technologies, you will lead technical solutions, mentor team members, and deliver engaging user experiences for large screen devices.

Role Overview

As a Senior Digital Project Manager, you will lead cross-functional project teams to deliver OTT and CTV solutions for our clients. These teams typically consist of technical architects, engineers, QAs, designers, and product managers.

You will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered efficiently, predictably, and to a high standard, balancing client and internal expectations, team performance, and commercial outcomes.

You will act as a key point of contact for both clients and internal stakeholders, providing clear visibility on project progress, risks, and results, while driving alignment across all parties.

Must have skills & experience

  • At least 5 years of project, delivery or programme management experience within a technical agency, product or consultancy environment, working with cross-functional creative and technical teams.
  • Strong planning and organisational skills, with consistent ownership of up-to-date project documentation and reporting.
  • Proven experience producing core delivery documentation, including project plans, timelines, RAID logs, and other project documentation.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Solid understanding of technical aspects of digital projects and the ability to translate these actions for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience delivering projects across a range of budgets, scopes, and team sizes.
  • Ability to prioritise effectively and remain calm under pressure.
  • Ability to stay calm and prioritise in times of tight deadlines and conflicting demands.
  • Experience building and maintaining long-term client relationships.
  • Proactive mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities.

Desirable

  • Experience in managing, mentoring and coaching Project Managers.
  • Experience delivering OTT and CTV products.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Gitlab, JIRA, Smartsheets, and Notion.

What you’ll do

Project Leadership & Delivery

  • Own the end-to-end delivery of projects from discovery through to launch, ensuring high-quality, on-time, and on-budget outcomes.
  • Define project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource plans aligned to client and business objectives.
  • Translate briefs into clear delivery plans, estimates, and documentation.
  • Proactively manage risks, issues, and dependencies to ensure smooth and predictable delivery.
  • Drive adoption and continuous improvement of delivery processes, tools, and ceremonies.
  • Provide clear and accurate reporting on project progress, financial performance, and forecasts.

Stakeholder & Account Leadership

  • Build and maintain strong, trusted client relationships.
  • Act as a senior point of contact, confidently managing expectations and communications.
  • Navigate challenges and resolve issues effectively, driving positive outcomes.
  • Ensure all deliverables meet client objectives and quality expectations.

Business Development

  • Identify opportunities for growth within existing client accounts.
  • Contribute to solutioning and early-stage project shaping where required.
  • Support new business activity, including RFP responses and pitch development.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Support and mentor team members, contributing to their development and growth.
  • Lead and motivate cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality work collaboratively.
  • Promote a positive, accountable team culture with awareness of team wellbeing.
