YOUR IMPACT
The GALE Development Program is a one-year hands-on program that will set you upon the path of a career in Strategy.
The Strategy Development Program Associate will support the Strategy team across loyalty, CRM, brand, and integrated marketing consulting engagements. Partnering closely with senior strategists, you’ll conduct competitive and market research, analyze customer and channel trends, and synthesize inputs into clear, client-ready insights—including performance reporting and readouts. You’ll help connect those insights to client objectives and business challenges, contributing to briefs, strategic approaches, and actionable recommendations that inform business plans. You’ll also collaborate with cross-functional teams at GALE—including Research, Client Partners, Creative, and MarTech—to support cohesive, well-rounded client solutions.
This program will start on June 2nd, 2026.
PROGRAM STRUCTURE:
- The one year program is split into two phases: the learning phase and the mentorship phase.
- During the learning phase, you will focus on the fundamentals of Strategy, spanning loyalty, audience segmentation, CRM, brand, and integrated marketing. You will also build core consulting skills, including conducting desktop research and developing insights, analyzing data, writing strategic briefs, and crafting clear, compelling storylines and presentations.
- The learning phase will culminate with a Capstone project (Mini case study) which will test your skills and knowledge and highlight your areas of strength and improvement.
- Upon completion of the learning phase, you will be paired with a career coach and a peer mentor and work on client work for the remainder of the year to hone your skills in Strategy.
- At the end of the Development Program, there may be an opportunity to pursue a role in Strategy, based on performance and business needs.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
First 3 months:
Learning phase First two weeks - Onboarding to GALE: Get oriented to GALE’s culture and values and learn our ways of working, teams and core processes. Learn about the Graduate Development Program and what you can expect from this year-long experience. Get to know your GALE colleagues and cross-functional partners.
Remainder of the Learning phase - Strategy Bootcamp: Learn from the leaders of the strategy team to build a foundation in strategy fundamentals (problem framing, research, insight development and storytelling), then go deeper on key pillars of Strategy including loyalty, audience segmentation, CRM, brand and integrated marketing.
Capstone (Mini case study) - Apply Strategy Bootcamp learnings by completing a mini case study, translating a business problem into insights and clear, actionable recommendations.
Next 9 months:
Mentorship phase Gain hands-on experience across key areas of Strategy by contributing to a range of client projects and workstreams (with rotations through business strategy, marketing strategy and brand strategy projects).
During the mentorship phase, you’ll be paired with a Coach and Peer Mentor to support your growth. Your Coach will help assign and guide your project work and provide ongoing feedback. Your Mentor will serve as a trusted resource for questions on projects, development and navigating the team.
In the final month, you will present a project that you worked on to the broader Strategy group
WHAT TO SUBMIT

- Keep it simple. It doesn’t need to be fancy. Your phone or laptop camera is perfect.
- Be yourself. We want to see your personality and hear your answers, not a polished commercial.
- Feel free to get creative. If you want to be on camera, front and center, great! If you’d prefer to be behind the scenes (e.g., narrating a video), that’s also great!
- Get creative through storytelling, visuals, music, or any format that feels authentic to you.
- These videos will be used for internal review purposes only and will not be distributed or shared externally.

$58,000 - $58,000 a year
In order to comply with equal pay and salary transparency laws in various locations, we believe the target compensation for this role is $58,000 CAD per year. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, qualifications, job performance, level of experience, location, and business needs.
