Team mission
As people partners, we help leaders build healthy, high-performing teams that power GetYourGuide’s mission to unlock unforgettable travel experiences. We align our talent strategy with business needs so every team can reach its full potential.
This senior people partner role will work with leaders in our engineering org to shape our organizational design, support our transition to an AI first engineering org. and bring our high performance culture to life.
Your mission
- Partner with Engineering leadership(Directors and Engineering Managers) to build healthy, high-performing teams across a ~330-person engineering org.
- Translate business strategy into a people strategy, with a clear, prioritized roadmap (org health, capability needs, leadership, talent, culture).
- Lead organizational design & workforce planning: shape target org structures, support reorgs and team evolutions, and partner with FP&A on annual people planning.
- Enable the transition to an AI-first organization by partnering with leaders on capability building, adoption, and change leadership.
- Run core people processes with credibility and consistency for Engineering (performance cycle, calibrations, leveling inputs, compensation cycle support), continuously improving how these land in a fast-moving tech environment.
Your toolkit
- Senior People Partner experience in a complex organization: proven ability to navigate scale and ambiguity (e.g., 1,000+ employees, multiple stakeholder teams/COEs, matrixed leadership), and deliver through influence.
- Strong understanding of engineering org dynamics (Engineering–Product interfaces, scaling patterns, role clarity, team health drivers).
- Strong business acumen: understands marketplace/P&L levers (growth, cost, margin, etc.), connects people and org decisions to product roadmap and engineering productivity (velocity, reliability). Develops clear business narratives tied to customer and supplier impact.
- Demonstrated capability in org design & change leadership and workforce planning in partnership with business.
- Good command of core people processes in a tech environment (performance cycle, calibrations, talent reviews, leveling inputs, comp cycle support) in collaboration with COEs (e.g., Total Rewards, Talent Acquisition, Performance & Growth).
- Confidence handling complex manager support and employee relations topics with sound judgment and appropriate escalation to People Relations / People Ops.
- Data-driven and pragmatic: comfortable using org health and people metrics to turn insight into action.
Extras that give you an edge
