Location: Remote USA. This role can be performed anywhere from the United States.
The Role
GoPro is seeking an experienced leader to head and grow our Program Management organization. Reporting to the COO, this role will serve as the global leader of the Program Management Office and act as a center of excellence for the broader organization. The VP of Program Management is responsible for driving cross-functional coordination, communication, and proactive risk identification/mitigation strategies to ensure program goals are successfully executed within approved budgets and timelines.
What You Will Do
- Lead cross-functional and technical delivery of all company-wide hardware and software product development initiatives from early concepts to product launch.
- Develop and lead a team of program managers to ensure on-time delivery of large-scale projects.
- Perform cost estimates, budget control, and critical path scheduling.
- Identify and provide potential resolutions to problems, project changes, and resource constraints, escalating to senior management as necessary.
- Partner with all stakeholders to ensure seamless cross-functional execution.
- Drive internal and external process improvements across the team.
- Influence peers and managers to build consensus while dealing with ambiguity.
- Partner with the COO to develop a cohesive partnership strategy related to JDM partners, development partners, and manufacturing suppliers.
- Develop an end-to-end cost optimization strategy for supply sourcing.
- Ensure alignment with all members of the product development process, including operations, product development, program management, and engineering.
- Communicate planning, project status, issues, and risks to executive teams and lead weekly Product Development Council to maintain clear visibility into product development efforts, test evaluation processes, and roadmap delivery timelines.
Skills Weโre Excited About
- Bachelor of Science in a technical discipline or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years of project/program management experience in software and hardware environments.
- Extensive experience in the consumer electronics industry.
- Expert-level experience with modern project management methodologies.
- PMI/PMP and Agile certifications.
- Capacity to own and execute multiple large-scale programs simultaneously.
- Strong communication skills and experience working with highly technical management teams.
- Strong organizational and coordination skills with multi-tasking capabilities to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with NPI (New Product Introduction) processes.
- Ability to motivate and focus cross-functional teams to reach challenging goals.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including relationship building and collaboration within a diverse, global, cross-functional team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, exposure to large-scale systems.
- High-level technical understanding of the various elements of technical operations is preferred.
- Experience with complex products that include both hardware and software components and an understanding of the different techniques required to successfully execute in each.
- Prior experience at a hardware company with a focus on internal program management and the product development lifecycle.
- Knowledge of complex partnership strategies involving development partners, JDM partners, and other suppliers.

The pay range for this role is between $280,075 - $340,500. Actual pay within the range is dependent on multiple factors, including your residence location and prior work experience. Equity, benefits, and a discretionary bonus may be additional forms of compensation for this role and are not included in the provided pay range.
