Job description

Description

Who We Are

Great Minds is a high-growth, mission-driven organization founded by educators in 2007. As a for-profit, Public Benefit Corporation, we believe all students deserve access to meaningful, challenging content—and all teachers deserve tools that are intuitive, effective, and built for the realities of today’s classrooms.

We develop high-quality, knowledge-rich math, science and ELA curricula grounded in research and designed in collaboration with educators. Our materials reflect real classroom needs and are built to drive lasting student outcomes.

We are committed to usability, coherence, and practical implementation—supporting teachers not just through curriculum, but with professional learning, purposeful technology, and responsive service that enable strong adoption and impact.

What We Build

Our products— Eureka Math and Eureka Math², Wit & Wisdom, PhD Science, Geodes, and the newly launched Arts & Letters ELA—are trusted by thousands of schools and districts nationwide.

  • Eureka Math is the most widely used math curriculum in the U.S., and is focused on balancing conceptual understanding, procedural fluency, and application.

  • Wit & Wisdom® and Arts & Letters ELA™ anchor our reading strategy with content-rich, grade-level instruction that integrates literature, history, and the arts, grounded in the science of reading. Geodes® complements our reading suite with decodable texts that pair phonics with meaningful content to support early literacy.

  • PhD Science is a hands-on K-5 Science program that sparks curiosity as students build enduring knowledge of how the scientific world works.

These programs reflect a shared belief in high expectations, joyful rigor, and deep respect for educators and students.

Where We’re Headed

Great Minds is entering a new stage of growth and product maturity. We are focused on building more connected, customer-informed experiences across the full educator journey—from curriculum to professional learning to platform and support.

Our long-term vision is to become a true partner in impact—not just delivering curriculum, but supporting educators in achieving outcomes at scale.

Job Purpose

The Manager, Go-To-Market FP&A serves as the primary finance business partner to Sales, Revenue Operations and related GTM leaders. Finance business partners empower financially sound planning and decision making throughout the organization. In this role, you will enable GTM leaders to make high-quality, data-driven decisions more independently by translating complex financial analysis into clear business logic, actionable insights, and decision-ready tools.

You will be a sought-after thought partner for GTM strategy, investment decisions, and performance management—helping leaders optimize revenue growth, resource allocation, and return on investment while managing risk and tradeoffs.

Responsibilities

  1. Lead Go-To-Market FP&A and Decision Support
  • Own financial planning, forecasting, and performance management for Go-To-Market functions, including revenue, sales, marketing, and customer acquisition activities.

  • Serve as the primary finance advisor to GTM senior leaders, providing insights that inform pricing, demand planning, pipeline health, capacity planning, and investment tradeoffs.

  • Translate GTM strategies and initiatives into financial outcomes, clearly connecting operational decisions to enterprise value.

2. Drive High-Quality Planning, Budgeting, and Forecasting

  • Lead GTM budget creation, reforecasting, and variance analysis, ensuring assumptions are well understood, pressure-tested, and aligned to strategic priorities.

  • Partner with stakeholders to identify risks, constraints, and opportunities during planning cycles and recommend mitigation or alternative scenarios.

  • Monitor leading indicators (e.g., pipeline, conversion rates, sampling) to anticipate performance gaps and drive timely course correction.

3. Provide Strategic Thought Partnership and Insight

  • Challenge assumptions using structured problem-solving, root cause analysis, and scenario modeling to elevate decision quality.

  • Support development of GTM business cases by evaluating benefits, costs, risks, and ROI to inform funding and prioritization decisions.

  • Help leaders relentlessly triage initiatives to focus on the highest-value opportunities while managing downside risk.

4. Build and Embed Decision Support Tools

  • Leverage planning and reporting tools (e.g., Adaptive Insights, BI dashboards, financial models) to deliver intuitive, actionable reporting for GTM leaders.

  • Partner with FP&A, Finance Systems, and Technology teams to design dashboards, reports, and analyses that meet GTM leaders where they are.

  • Act as the “voice of the internal customer” to ensure tools translate financial complexity into practical, decision-ready insights.

5. Enable Financial Acumen and Adoption

  • Coach and train GTM leaders and stakeholders on FP&A concepts, value-driver trees, and financial decision frameworks.

  • Communicate insights clearly through visuals, storytelling, and plain business language to drive alignment, trust, and action.

  • Drive adoption of FP&A tools and processes by embedding them into existing workflows and decision forums.

6. Continuous Improvement and Collaboration

  • Establish success metrics for GTM FP&A tools and services and drive iterative improvement based on stakeholder feedback.

  • Collaborate closely with other FP&A managers and analysts to ensure consistency, accuracy, and best-practice sharing across the organization.

  • Contribute to the ongoing evolution of Great Minds’ finance business partnering model.

Requirements

Requirements

  • 7+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, business planning, or finance business partnering, ideally including revenue or GTM support.

  • Strong understanding of financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis, with deep knowledge of the P&L and financial drivers.

  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to translate financial insights into clear business implications for senior leaders.

  • Demonstrated ability to build strong cross-functional relationships and influence decision making at the senior leadership level.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting Go-To-Market functions (Sales, Marketing, Revenue Operations, or Demand Planning).

  • Strong business acumen with understanding of revenue drivers, sales productivity, customer acquisition economics, and ROI analysis.

  • Advanced proficiency in financial modeling and planning tools (e.g., Adaptive Insights, Excel, BI tools such as Power BI).

  • Experience coaching non-finance leaders to apply FP&A thinking in real-time decision making.

Required Education

  • BS/BA degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
