As a Product Designer with a strong focus on denim and jersey, you will turn creative concepts into outstanding products that align with our brand identity and exceed customer expectations. In this role, deep denim expertise is essential—you understand wash techniques, fabric qualities, dye processes, constructions and the full product lifecycle. Your technical and creative skills ensure that our denim assortment remains elevated, innovative and commercially relevant.

Your Responsibilities:

What you will do…

  • Design and develop denim and jersey products for seasonal collections, ensuring alignment with brand DNA and creative direction.
  • Transform trends into key silhouettes, fabric choices, washes, colours and detailing—with a strong emphasis on denim innovation.
  • Participate in fittings and secure that garments meet our standards of fit, construction, fabric performance and design expression.
  • Conduct continuous research into denim, wash developments, dye methods, sustainability advancements, customer insights and global market shifts.
  • Take responsibility for timelines and proactively drive the design process from concept to final product.
  • Contribute to creating and curating a balanced assortment that is both creative and commercially strong.
  • Collaborate closely with design leads, print, buying, production and suppliers to ensure cohesive and high-quality collections.
  • Mentor and support junior designers in their growth and development.

Who You’ll Work With

You will be part of a collaborative and creative team consisting of a Junior Designer, Pattern Maker, Buyer, Junior Buyer, and our denim suppliers. Together, you work end to end across development, fit, quality, production and product performance—ensuring that every garment reflects & Other Stories’ design identity and craftsmanship.

Who You Are

We are looking for people with…

  • Degree in Fashion Design or a related field.
  • Experience in apparel design, preferably with a strong background in denim.
  • Solid knowledge of garment construction, denim fabrics, components, and wash techniques.
  • Understanding of product development, assortment building and commercial drivers.
  • Strong trend forecasting and fashion analysis skills, with an eye for aesthetic coherence.
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and CLO 3D.
  • Fluent English; additional languages are a plus.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

This is a full time temporary contract for 9 months, starting May 2026, based at our Head Office in Stockholm

We value collaboration and believe that great ideas thrive when we work closely together. Therefore, this role is primarily office-based, with four days per week at the office to foster teamwork and engagement. One day per week, you’ll have the flexibility to work remotely.
