Senior Front End Engineer

Job description

Join us in digitizing the U.S. life insurance agent distribution business and help scale our platform to support agents and customers across the country.

This is a unique opportunity to join a new venture from its earliest stages, backed by a specialized global VC firm with $6.3B raised and deep expertise in financial technology. Engineers will help build a new insurtech business for the U.S. and Canadian markets, in partnership with one of the largest life-insurance organizations in North America.

You’ll be a Founding Engineer, shaping the core product, architecture, and engineering culture from day one. Your decisions will directly influence how the business operates, scales, and succeeds.

Tech Stack

  • Frontend: React (possibly Next.js), SPA architecture
  • Infrastructure: Static deployments behind API Gateway (S3, CloudFront, etc.)
  • Cloud/DevOps: AWS, Terraform, CI/CD with GitHub Actions or GitLab CI

What you’ll do

  • Own technical delivery of complex features end to end within your squad
  • Build performant, secure SPAs with React (Next.js is a plus)
  • Implement secure session flows and multi-tenant-aware UI components
  • Collaborate closely with design, product, and backend to shape solutions
  • Contribute to shared component libraries and design systems
  • Ship confidently with tests, CI/CD, and clear documentation
  • Participate in architecture decisions and technical planning

What we’re looking for

  • Senior-level only: You’ve owned major product features or systems
  • React expert: You build clean, scalable frontends with modern best practices
  • SPA + Security savvy: You understand session handling, auth flows, RBAC, and multi-tenancy
  • Infra awareness: You’ve deployed apps on AWS, used Terraform, and contributed to CI/CD workflows
  • Testing mindset: You write and maintain reliable unit and integration tests
  • Clear communicator: You can fluently handle both technical and business discussions in English (C1+)
  • Proactive contributor: You suggest improvements, not just implement specs

  • Remote for LATAM residents only
  • USD Comp
  • 40 hours / Week
