As a Mechanical Engineer, you’ll contribute to the design, integration, and qualification of ICEYE’s satellite hardware, ensuring structural integrity, reliability, and manufacturability to meet demanding mission and aerospace standards.

Your day-to-day responsibilities
- Contribute to trade studies, design reviews, and verification and qualification documentation across the product lifecycle
- Support continuous improvement of existing satellite products and mechanical designs
- Collaborate with suppliers, supply chain, AIT, and quality teams to ensure compliance with launch and in-orbit requirements
- Work with system and subsystem engineers to define and refine requirements for new products
- Support integration, assembly, and validation activities to ensure designs meet performance and reliability targets
- Participate in troubleshooting and issue resolution during build, test, and integration phases
- Contribute to ensuring manufacturability, cost efficiency, and quality of mechanical solutions
What we’re looking for
Must haves:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field
- Experience in aerospace, automotive, or similar engineering environments
- Hands-on experience with mechanical assembly, integration, and testing
- Ability to work cross-functionally with systems, electrical, and manufacturing teams
- Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills
- Strong motivation to learn and continuously develop technical skills
Nice to haves:
- Experience with PLM or PDM systems for configuration control
- Experience designing satellite structures, subsystems, or complex electromechanical systems
- Familiarity with aerospace industry standards such as ECSS, NASA, or MIL
