About iKhokha
We started iKhokha in 2012 in Umhlanga, South Africa, founded by Matt Putman, Ramsay Daly, and Clive Putman. We develop digital payment solutions and business tools for South African entrepreneurs and small to medium-sized businesses (SMEs).
Our offerings include card machines with Tap & Go (iK Flyer Lite, iK Flyer), a Tap on Phone solution that turns a smartphone into a payment terminal, and Point-of-Sale (POS) systems (iK POS). For online transactions, we provide the iK Pay Gateway for local and international e-commerce, and iK Pay Link for sending payment links. All our digital payment solutions are developed by our in-house team.
Beyond payments, we offer business management tools like iK Invoice, a free invoice generator, and the iK Dashboard for insights and sales tracking. Merchants can access working capital through iK Cash Advance, with funding available up to R1 million after just three months of trading with us. The iKhokha app also lets merchants sell prepaid products like airtime, electricity, data, and gaming vouchers via iK Prepaid. We offer transaction rates that decrease as sales volume increases, and our card machines accept Amex payments.
