We partner with over 1,500 national, regional, and local retail chains, reaching customers from more than 85,000 stores across 14,000 cities in the U.S. and Canada. Our marketplace lists about 1 billion products, and our 600,000 shoppers complete millions of orders each year.

For retailers, our platform provides technology for e-commerce, order fulfillment, store digitization, and advertising (Instacart Ads for CPG brands). We also develop AI-powered systems like Caper Carts for in-store shopping and have integrations allowing direct shopping within platforms such as ChatGPT.

For consumers, we offer same-day delivery and curbside pickup. Customers can choose items, get real-time updates from personal shoppers, and manage their orders. We guarantee 100% quality on every order. If an item is out of stock, customers can tell shoppers their replacement preference: ‘Find Best Match,’ ‘Pick Specific Replacement,’ or ‘Don’t Replace.’ Issues like missing, incorrect, or damaged items, poor replacements, or early/late orders can be reported through the app or website. Contactless delivery is available using the ‘Leave at my door’ feature. Instacart Health offers tools to support nutrition and healthy eating choices.

Our team works across a four-sided marketplace involving customers, shoppers, retailers, and CPG partners. We currently have between 1,001 and 5,000 employees.
