Overview

Instacart is expanding rapidly, and we’re seeking a Sales Planner to join our Off‑Platform Sales team. This hire will assist in delivering customer‑centric solutions rooted in Instacart 1P data, partnering with Off‑Platform and Brand Partnership sales teams to win RFPs through architecting bespoke solutions, own delivery from launch through wrap, and identify and pitch incremental investment opportunities along the way. This role blends strategic planning with operational excellence to drive strong outcomes for our off‑platform advertisers.

About The Role

Pre‑sale Strategy and Planning

  • Translate advertiser revenue-driving briefs into tailored media solutions: formats, audiences, measurement, and pricing
  • Support audience planning; size, forecast, and pace inventory
  • Build proposals and media plans, close deals, and execute IOs
  • Assist in crafting compelling narratives that differentiate Instacart & ultimately lead to off-platform activations via our 1P data
  • Identity & assist in pitching net-new whitespace revenue opportunities to help our advertising achieve their intended outcomes

Campaign Execution and Performance

  • Assist in launch-to-wrap execution: trafficking readiness, QA, pacing, optimizations, and budget delivery
  • Coordinate cross‑functionally (Ad Ops, Analytics, Product, Creative, Legal, Finance) to unblock hurdles and activate with excellence
  • Identify & pitch upsell opportunities throughout campaign lifecycle to increase revenue for Instacart, while driving outcomes for brands
  • Manage portfolio revenue tracking, identifying whitespaces to drive focus for incremental revenue

About You

  • 4+ years in media or sales planning at an agency, publisher, or platform; strong grasp of programmatic, social, and video
  • Excellent time management, organization, and communication skills
  • Creative problem solver who thrives amid ambiguity
  • Ability to tell a compelling story through data
  • A self-starter with hunger to achieve goals

Instacart provides highly market-competitive compensation and benefits in each location where our employees work. This role is remote and the base pay range for a successful candidate is dependent on their permanent work location. Please review our Flex First remote work policy here.

Offers may vary based on many factors, such as candidate experience and skills required for the role. Additionally, this role is eligible for a new hire equity grant as well as annual refresh grants. Please read more about our benefits offerings here.
