Mission
Kargo, the premium mobile publisher platform, is looking for a motivated and driven Technical Project Manager to join our growing Engineering & Product Development team. You will be working closely with Engineers, Product and QA in a fast-paced environment to support and deliver products to our clients.
This is a hybrid role.
Skills - Core Capabilities
Core Delivery & Execution
- Plan, execute, and deliver front end & technical projects end-to-end for assigned product areas, from definition through release.
- Own roadmap delivery timelines and sprint commitments for your team(s), proactively identifying risks, tradeoffs, and mitigation plans.
- Partner with Engineering Managers to break down work into well-scoped, actionable tasks and ensure work is execution-ready
Product & Engineering Collaboration
- Work closely with Product Managers to understand product goals, requirements, and success criteria.
- Translate product requirements into clear execution plans, highlighting technical dependencies, sequencing, and constraints.
- Support product and engineering decision-making by surfacing delivery impacts, scope options, and timing implications.
Agile Process Ownership
- Lead Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Ensure sprint goals are clear, work is properly prioritized, and progress is visible and transparent.
- Continuously improve team execution by identifying process gaps and proposing practical improvements.
Dependency & Risk Management
- Identify, track, and manage cross-team and cross-system dependencies.
- Proactively surface risks, blockers, and capacity concerns, escalating with context and recommended actions when needed.
- Coordinate with QA and other partner teams to ensure alignment throughout the development lifecycle.
Release & Operational Support
- Coordinate releases and go-live activities, including readiness checks, communication, and follow-ups.
- Support troubleshooting of production issues by helping coordinate investigation, communication, and resolution.
- Ensure post-release learnings are captured and fed back into planning.
Communication & Stakeholder Management
- Provide clear, regular status updates to Product, Engineering, and relevant stakeholders.
- Identify & raise action items, following up and checking in with stakeholders until completed
- Maintain accurate project documentation, plans, and tracking artifacts (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Meeting Notes).
- Facilitate effective communication across globally distributed teams.
Accountability & Growth
- Demonstrate strong ownership, follow-through, and attention to detail across multiple concurrent projects.
- Learn from delivery outcomes and actively seek feedback to improve execution effectiveness.
Experience & Qualifications
Required
- 3–5 years of project management experience working directly with software engineering teams.
- Strong understanding of Agile software development and the SDLC.
- Hands-on experience using Jira (or similar tools) for sprint and delivery tracking.
- Comfort discussing technical concepts with engineers (architecture, APIs, deployments)
Preferred
- Experience working in Ad Technology or a similarly complex, high-throughput technical domain.
- Experience coordinating work across multiple teams or codebases.
- Experience supporting either internal or external workflow, ad server, CMS or Saas products
