Our client, a well-established specialty distribution company, is seeking a VP or Director of IT to lead all aspects of technology strategy and execution. This family-owned business has been serving its market for decades and is positioned for significant growth.

This is a high-impact leadership role requiring a unique blend of strategic thinking and hands-on technical execution. You’ll own the entire technology stack, including NetSuite ERP, ecommerce operations, warehouse systems, business intelligence, and cybersecurity, while driving operational efficiency, scalability, and superior customer experience.
Key Focus Areas:
- NetSuite ERP Leadership: Own system configuration, customizations, integrations, data integrity, user management, and continuous optimization across Finance, Operations, Marketing, and Supply Chain
- Warehouse Technology & Operations: Drive warehouse toward fully integrated, technology-enabled fulfillment using automation, scanning, barcoding, and real-time ERP integration to improve throughput, accuracy, and scalability
- Ecommerce Infrastructure: Oversee ecommerce operations, ensuring uptime, performance, security, and seamless integrations across payment processing, shipping, inventory, and customer data systems
- Business Intelligence & Analytics: Build and mature BI capabilities leveraging NetSuite and ecommerce data to deliver actionable insights on customer behavior, inventory management, forecasting, and sales performance
- Technology Strategy: Develop and execute a multi-year roadmap aligned with business growth objectives, including digital transformation and warehouse modernization initiatives
- Team & Vendor Management: Lead small internal IT team and manage external vendor partnerships for development and systems integration support
Technical:
- Advanced NetSuite ERP administration (configuration, customization, integrations, data management)
- Strong programming background with hands-on coding ability (not just architectural oversight)
- Ecommerce platform experience (Magento, Shopify, BigCommerce, or similar)
- Integration expertise (Celigo, REST/SOAP APIs, ETL frameworks)
- Warehouse systems integration (WMS, scanning/automation, ERP integration)
Experience:
- 10+ years leading IT functions in ecommerce, retail, or distribution environments
- Proven NetSuite ERP implementation and optimization success
- Track record integrating ERP, ecommerce, warehouse, and marketing systems
- Experience managing internal teams and external vendors
- Strong project management with rigorous UAT and testing discipline
Leadership:

Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field

MBA or advanced degree
BI platforms and data warehousing experience
Data privacy, PCI compliance, and security best practices knowledge
Specialty distribution or B2B ecommerce background
Base Salary: $200,000 - $225,000
Performance Bonus: Up to 20% based on goals
