About the position

The Associate Software Engineer designs, implements, and maintains software code bases. This entry level role involves writing code, debugging, and learning fundamental software engineering principles.

The position can based in our Stockholm, we follow a hybrid work model with excellent flexible working practices. Applicants must hold a valid Right to Work in Sweden.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design, implementation, and maintenance of software code bases.
  • Participate in learning opportunities to build fundamental software engineering skills.
  • Follow coding standards and contribute to pull requests and code reviews.
  • Work with team members to address code and architectural challenges.
  • Help develop and maintain technical documentation for software projects.
  • Work closely with the Quality Assurance teams and participate in QA efforts when needed.
  • Engage in Agile ceremonies and contribute to iterative development processes.

Minimum Qualification, Education, and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • 0-2 years of experience in software engineering or a related field.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, strong written and verbal communication, intermediate proficiency in relevant tools and technologies.
  • Basic coding skills, ability to learn and adapt quickly, and a strong collaborative mindset.
  • Ability to work independently, mentor junior team members, and contribute to process improvements.
  • Ability to execute tasks with supervision, contribute to team projects, and continuously improve technical skills.
  • In-depth understanding of the industry, company processes, and job-specific methodologies.
  • Basic understanding of software development life cycle, agile practices, and coding standards.
