About the position
The Test Automation Engineer develops and executes test automation code to improve the efficiency and fidelity of testing. This role involves collaborating with QA Analysts, QA Leads, and software engineers to ensure thatautomated testing is integrated into the development pipeline.
The position is based in Barcelona office, follows hybrid work model with excellent flexible working practices. Applicants must hold a valid Right to Work in Spain.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and execute automated test scripts to improve the efficiency and fidelity of testing.
- Collaborate with QA and software engineers to integrate automated testing into the development process.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with test automation code and frameworks.
- Participate in the design and implementation of automation frameworks and tools.
- Monitor and report on the performance of automated tests.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of automation processes and tools.
- Identify testability constraints in production software and take the initiative to drive improvements.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field or equivalent experience.
- Strong experience in test automation or software development with a focus on testing.
- Expert analytical and technical skills, excellent communication, and project management skills.
- Understanding of programming languages, experience with automation frameworks.
- Ability to lead technical projects, innovate within the role, and provide training to peers.
- Ability to collaborate with QA and development teams, continuously improve automation skills, and optimize test coverage.
- Understanding of CI/CD integration, test automation frameworks, and defect tracking systems. #LI-NA1
Compensation
Salary will be commensurate with experience.
