Key About Your Role
As a Business Controller at Keylane, you act as a strategic financial partner for the business or support unit. You advise management and business leaders on financial matters and support them in realizing their objectives in a sustainable and data-driven way.
You translate organizational goals into clear financial KPIs and monitor performance against budgets and forecasts. You provide insights into financial results, identify trends and developments, and translate these into actionable advice. By combining financial expertise with business understanding, you help optimize resource allocation and ensure sound financial decision-making.
You are responsible for preparing and analyzing periodic financial reports, forecasts and business cases. You proactively signal risks and opportunities and support the business in making well-balanced trade-offs. In doing so, you act as the link between the business and the financial controllers/financial specialists, ensuring alignment between operational performance and financial governance.
You challenge assumptions, stimulate fact-based decision-making and contribute to continuous improvement of financial processes and reporting.
Key About Your Team
You will be part of the Finance team, working closely with fellow controllers and financial specialists. At the same time, you are deeply embedded in the business, collaborating with managers and team leads across departments such as Product Development, Operations and Commercial.
In this role, you operate at the intersection of strategy, operations and finance. You are a trusted sparring partner for management and contribute to both short-term performance steering and long-term strategic planning.

You have a completed Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or a related field;
You have several years of experience in a Business Controller or similar financial role;
You have experience with budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis and KPI reporting;
You are able to translate complex financial data into clear insights and recommendations for non-financial stakeholders;
You are proactive, analytical and comfortable challenging management in a constructive way;
You have strong communication skills and are able to build relationships across different departments;
Experience in a SaaS, IT or project-driven environment is a plus;
You are comfortable working with financial systems and Excel; experience with BI tooling is an advantage;
English is mandatory, speaking Dutch is a pré.
A Certificate of Conduct (VOG) and reference check are part of the application process.
Starting with a monthly gross salary between €4,000 and €5,800 based on 40 hours per week, depending on your experience and seniority;
8% holiday allowance of your total gross salary;
A profit share, on average one month salary extra annually;
A pension scheme, with the option to save extra;
Travel reimbursement: Receive a mileage allowance of €0.23 per km or an NS
Business Card, which can also be used for personal travel;
24 holiday days (with the option to buy extra) and 7 inclusion days, which can be exchanged with fixed Dutch national holidays, allowing you to take them when you like;
Flexibility in working environment. As part of a hybrid working team, you will work partly from home and partly from the office. If you work in the office, a free lunch is waiting for you every day. If you work from home, you will receive a working from home allowance (€4 net per day) and internet allowance (€35 net per month);
