The team at Keywords Studios handle media localization and translation services for any project size, from indie to AAA games. We help speak to global audiences by translating games for target language and dialect, and ensure expert quality control throughout the game development and translation process through both technology solutions and human oversight.

As a Project Manager on our Localization team in Japan, you’ll manage projects from planning through delivery, ensuring they are completed on time, on budget, and to a high standard of quality. You’ll work closely with clients, global production teams, linguists, QA, and vendors to deliver localized content that is accurate, culturally appropriate, and ready for release.
Reporting to a Senior Production Manager, you’ll collaborate with colleagues across regions and accounts to keep projects running smoothly while meeting client expectations and business goals.
What You’ll Do:
- Manage end-to-end localization projects across multiple content types and platforms
- Plan schedules, estimates, workflows, and contingencies
- Lead kick-offs and align global teams across time zones
- Partner with clients to define scope, timelines, and best practices
- Coordinate linguists, QA, vendors, and internal teams to deliver high-quality localized content
- Monitor risks, manage scope changes, and resolve issues proactively
- Own project schedules, quality, budgets, and margins
- Track costs, forecasts, and invoicing accurately
- Contribute to continuous improvement of localization workflows and tools
What Makes You a Great Fit:
Experience in localization, content production, or project management
Understanding of localization workflows, QA, and vendor coordination
Comfortable working with Japanese and international stakeholders
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Clear, professional communicator who builds strong relationships
Proactive, adaptable, and solutions-focused
Experience either on videogames and/or localization sectors, be it on client or vendor side, with degree in Business, Audio, Translation, Computer Science or Games Development as an advantage.
Knowledge of production and/or CAT Tools is an advantage.
Good knowledge of PC and MS Office products is essential.
Excellent English v& Japanese verbal and written communication skills. Additional language is a plus.
Ability to use good judgment to prioritize tasks. ▪ Good organizational and analytical skills.
Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a remote, fast-paced, complex global environment.
Able to manage sensitive and confidential information.
Must be motivated and a team player, be predisposed for personal learning and training and effectively apply business specific technology and methodologies.
