We are a nonprofit that runs 20 tuition-free, open-enrollment charter public schools across 17 Local Education Agencies. We educate over 10,000 students and support more than 8,300 alumni through college and into their careers.

Our schools emphasize rigorous academics, character development, enrichment, social-emotional learning, physical and mental health, and fostering a strong sense of identity and purpose.

Our student population is 81% Latinx, 17% Black, and 2% Multi-Racial. 87% are eligible for Free or Reduced-Price Meals, 21% are English Learners, and 18% receive Special Education Services.

Our alumni graduate college at triple the national average and receive five times more personalized college counseling. Their high school graduation rate is nine percentage points higher than their peers in district public schools. Our KIPP Forward program provides counseling and support to students as they navigate high school, college, and their careers.

Benefits & Perks

We offer a benefits package with competitive salary scales, among the highest in Los Angeles. Teacher salaries increase within the first five years.

We provide differentials for additional qualifications like a Master’s Degree, National Board Certification, and SpEd Autism Authorization. Teachers are paid on the 1st and 15th of the month on a 12-month pay calendar and typically have time off from mid-June through the end of July.

We also offer additional stipends for school-based leadership roles and for second-year teachers with CLEAR credentials to coach Resident teachers or support induction programs. Our Teacher Residency Program lets participants earn a California teaching credential and a Master’s degree in one year. Our School Leader Fellow Program mentors leaders, preparing them for succession within our school network.
