About KoBold Metals
We founded KoBold Metals in 2018 to find critical minerals for electric vehicles and renewable energy. Our goal is to make mineral exploration a repeatable science by combining artificial intelligence (AI) with human expertise (HI).
We use new sensors for data collection, centralize geological information, and apply predictive models to identify promising exploration locations. We conduct exploration globally through wholly-owned projects and joint ventures. Our first significant discovery was the Mingomba copper deposit in Zambia, one of the largest copper deposits ever found.
We also support our operations with scientific analysis, data science, and market research. This includes M&A, project and debt financing, corporate tax restructurings, and global subsidiary management.
