About the role
This position reports to the Director of Payor Enrollment, Licensing & Credentialing and is responsible for assisting with all aspects of the Licensing and Credentialing process. The Licensing & Credentialing Specialist will ensure efficient working operations (with a heavy focus on) Licensing and Credentialing of LifeMD providers to maximize revenue and enhance patient satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Obtain necessary licensure and/or privileges for LifeMD providers
- Create, maintain and update provider Licensing rosters for LifeMD
- Perform external research and conduct verification of all LifeMD licensure, malpractice and educational degrees, diplomas and certifications
- Create, maintain and update LifeMD provider Collaborative Practice Agreements
- Maintain and update insurance credentialing and the CAQH Provider System
- Obtain and manage renewal licensure and/or privileges for LifeMD providers
- Work with other LifeMD departments to facilitate the onboarding/offboarding of LifeMD providers where it pertains to licensure and scheduling
- Perform correspondence with state boards for LifeMD providers
- Assist LifeMD providers with any ancillary licensing or credentialing questions
- Perform complex and confidential administrative functions including developing and typing written correspondence. Respond to routine external correspondence. Type memos, and other department forms and documents
- Handle confidential and non-routine information and maintains provider confidence and protect operations by keeping all provider and LifeMD practice information confidential
- Work independently and within a team on special and nonrecurring and ongoing projects at the request of the Director of Payor Enrollment, Licensing & Credentialing, which may include updating Excel spreadsheets or other systems, and disseminating information
- Maintain reliability, as it is an essential function of this position to report to work on time for your scheduled hours, ready for work
- Perform other related duties as required
Basic Qualifications:
- Credentialing Certification, bachelor’s degree in business administration, healthcare administration or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of experience performing credentialing and administrative services
- Strong understanding of credentialing, licensing and payor enrollment functions and processes
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance requirements
Preferred Qualifications:
Certifications such as Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) and/or Certified Medical Service Management (CPMSM) via NAMSS
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret and act on complex dataProficiency with credentialing software and Microsoft Office Suite
High level of proven communication skills, including written, verbal and conceptual presentation
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic growth environment

Organizational and time management skills with a high attention to detail
Salary: $50K - $60K annually
