Role Summary
The Salesforce Developer is a hands-on engineer who builds, configures, and maintains the Salesforce ecosystem powering Litmos’s go-to-market, customer experience, and revenue operations. This role will have a primary focus on marketing operations and demand generation, but must be proficient across the platform. Working as a remote member of the GTM Operations team, this role partners with the GTM Business Partner and Salesforce Architect to deliver scalable, well-architected solutions across Marketing Cloud, Sales Cloud, Revenue Cloud, Data Cloud, Experience Cloud, and Service Cloud.
This role builds what is defined and does not define what is built. The GTM Business Partner translates business intent into technical specifications; the developer then collaborates with an Architect to design, build, test, and deploy. Remote delivery demands a high bar for accountability, communication discipline, and reliability.
This is not a Salesforce admin role. It is a dedicated, full-time technical builder embedded in the GTM operating model, accountable for the integrity, quality, and timeliness of system delivery.
Core Responsibilities
1. Salesforce Development & Configuration
Build scalable solutions across Marketing Cloud, Sales Cloud, Revenue Cloud, Data Cloud, Experience Cloud, and Service Cloud
Leverage declarative tools (Flows, configuration, and platform automation) as the primary build approach; Apex and custom code are a last resort
Adhere to Salesforce development standards, deployment hygiene, and platform best practices throughout
2. Multi-Cloud Solution Delivery
Marketing Cloud: Journeys, automations, data extensions, and personalization logic integrated with the broader Salesforce data model
Sales Cloud: Lead-to-opportunity workflows, assignment rules, and sales process automation
Revenue Cloud: CPQ quoting, product catalog, pricing rules, approval workflows, and billing automation
Data Cloud: Data streams, unified profiles, segmentation, and activations for GTM and CX use cases
Experience Cloud: Customer and partner community sites including authentication, navigation, content, and case deflection
Service Cloud: Case management, omni-channel routing, knowledge base, and escalation logic
3. Agentforce & AI
Build and configure Agentforce solutions and AI-driven workflows across the platform
Implement prompt templates, agent actions, and Einstein automations aligned to GTM and CX use cases
Build responsibly; enforce data governance guardrails and maintain user trust in all AI-driven solutions
4. Integration & Data Architecture
Build and maintain integrations between Salesforce and adjacent systems including Qualified, Gong, Planhat, Pendo, and others as required
Ensure clean, governed data flow across the GTM stack with attention to source of truth, deduplication, and field-level integrity
Maintain a data model that supports defined reporting and process requirements across the GTM stack
5. Quality, Testing & Deployment
Write unit and regression tests; develop and execute deployment plans for all changes
Participate in UAT cycles and resolve defects with speed and precision
Enforce release management, version control, and sandbox promotion standards; production deployments follow process without exception
6. Documentation & Knowledge Management
Maintain technical documentation for all builds: data models, integration flows, code comments, and deployment notes
Produce handover documentation sufficient for any qualified developer to pick up and continue the work
7. Remote Operating Discipline
Maintain clear, proactive communication across time zones with the GTM Operations team and stakeholders
Surface blockers early, provide regular status updates, and meet committed deadlines
Operate with high autonomy and strong judgment, within defined process, not outside of it
Scope & Operating Model
Hybrid, full-time, India-based member of the GTM Operations team
Reports to: VP, Business and GTM Systems
Business requirements are owned and translated by the GTM Business Partner; this role executes against defined specifications
Overlap with North American business hours required for daily standups and delivery cycles
Qualifications & Experience
5+ years of hands-on Salesforce development experience in enterprise B2B SaaS environments
Demonstrated production experience across Marketing Cloud, Sales Cloud, Revenue Cloud, Data Cloud, Experience Cloud, and Service Cloud
Agentforce experience or Salesforce AI/Agent certification required (Agentforce Specialist or equivalent)
Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I (required); Platform Developer II (strongly preferred)
Salesforce Certified Administrator (required)
Additional cloud-specific certifications strongly preferred: Marketing Cloud Developer, CPQ Specialist, Data Cloud Consultant, Experience Cloud Consultant, Service Cloud Consultant
Deep platform fluency across Flow Builder, Marketing Cloud automation tools, and declarative configuration; Apex and LWC where the platform cannot reach; Salesforce DX and CI/CD for deployment discipline
Verifiable track record of remote delivery for North American or European clients
Key Skills & Competencies
Build Discipline: Builds what is defined; raises issues with requirements rather than improvising silently
Technical Depth: Deep expertise in Marketing Cloud with strong platform fluency across Sales, Revenue, Data, Experience, and Service Cloud
Systems Thinking: Understands how technical decisions affect downstream campaign performance, data integrity, and reporting
Execution Rigor: High standards for build quality, platform configuration, testing, deployment, and documentation
Accountability: Owns commitments, meets deadlines, and proactively surfaces risk
Communication: Clear, structured, and timely written and verbal communication in English; essential for remote operating
Autonomy with Discipline: Operates independently within process, not outside of it
How We Hire
Given the remote nature of this role, candidates must:
Provide a minimum of three professional references from prior managers or senior stakeholders; at least two from engagements within the past three years
Provide at least one reference from a remote engagement with a North American or European client
Consent to a structured technical evaluation including live problem-solving and platform evaluation
Consent to background verification of certifications, employment history, and identity per Litmos policy
Success Metrics
On-time, high-quality delivery of defined initiatives across Marketing Cloud, Sales Cloud, Revenue Cloud, Data Cloud, Experience Cloud, and Service Cloud
Low defect rate post-deployment and reduced UAT rework cycles
Documentation completeness across all delivered solutions
Consistent delivery reliability and communication that builds stakeholder confidence
Demonstrable system improvements: cleaner data, more reliable integrations, fewer manual workarounds
Successful adoption of Agentforce and AI capabilities into production GTM and CX workflows
Salary Range: ₹22,00,000 to ₹30,00,000 plus 10% bonus
