Lunar Energy

We were founded in 2020 to develop and manufacture the Lunar System, an all-electric home energy product. It captures, stores, and uses clean energy.

The Lunar System includes the Lunar Battery, Bridge, Maximizers for solar panels, and our app. Our battery has 20 kWh of capacity, which you can expand from 10 kWh to 30 kWh. It provides backup power during outages and a Weather Watch feature that pre-charges the battery for storms. It’s UL 9540A certified for indoor and outdoor installation.

The system uses our AI-powered Gridshare software, an energy management platform that controls home batteries and EV chargers. This software creates daily energy plans to help you save money by monitoring weather, tracking energy use, and optimizing for changing energy prices and export rates. You can also enroll in Virtual Power Plant programs through the Lunar App.

Our products are currently in homes across the US, UK, and Japan, and we plan to expand further internationally. Forbes recognized us as one of America’s Best Startup Employers for 2023.
