We are a software development company founded in 2020. We specialize in renewable energy, battery energy storage, solar PV, project planning, site modeling, and clean energy. We provide software to objectively inform new energy investment decisions.

Our core product, Gridcog Planning, simulates thousands of physical and commercial variations for new energy projects. It models utility-scale, distribution-level, or behind-the-meter projects, covering renewable generation, battery storage, e-mobility, and load flexibility, and simulating asset responses to market or commercial price signals.

Our software allows for multi-region, multi-site, multi-asset, and multi-participant simulations. It covers assets like renewable energy generation, battery storage (AC and DC coupled), fuel-powered generators, EV charging, and load. We integrate a universal markets model with a library of tariff, price, and asset data for GB, Australia, and Europe. We also offer flexible commercial modeling to test arrangements such as supply tariffs, PPAs, subsidies, direct marketing, tolls, and route-to-market arrangements. This includes full cashflow modeling and financial metric calculation. Our platform accurately reflects technical asset parameters and complex market rules for ancillary service and wholesale markets.

We support users in over 30 global markets, including the UK, Australia, New Zealand, Germany, Spain, Poland, Italy, Portugal, Netherlands, Belgium, and France. To date, our software has modeled over 13,000 projects globally; more than 90% of these include co-located battery storage.
