Australian health-tech platform for disability and aged care support

About Mable

We launched Mable in 2014, an Australian health-tech platform connecting people seeking disability and aged care support with local independent support workers. Our co-founders, Peter Scutt and Tony Charara, started the company after Peter experienced challenges finding suitable home care for his parents.

We operate as an online marketplace where individuals can connect with verified support workers. Those looking for support can post a job or search for workers, then discuss and agree on job details, timing, and rates before booking sessions. We provide tools for managing ongoing bookings and payments, and we support clients using self-managed or plan-managed NDIS funding and Aged Care funding.

We offer services for daily living, social, and community activities like housework, transport, gardening, and meal preparation. We also provide personal care services such as showering, hoist transfer, exercise assistance, and toileting. Qualified workers can provide specialized nursing services (wound care, medication management, respite support) and allied health services (occupational therapy, psychology, physiotherapy, and speech therapy).

To ensure safety, we verify all support workers, with each profile confirmed by a team member. We are ISO 27001 certified for data privacy, and every support session booked includes insurance coverage. We offer affordable care, with rates mutually agreed upon between clients and independent support workers.

We’ve facilitated over 30 million hours of support, serving more than 30,000 NDIS and aged care clients through a community of over 23,000 independent support workers. We specialize in home care, disability support, aged care, NDIS, and various support worker roles, including nurses and allied health professionals.
