About the role
We’re seeking an experienced Clinical Team Leader to join our growing Clinical team. Reporting to the Clinical Manager, you’ll play a critical role in leading high-quality clinical care for customers with complex and high-risk needs, while supporting and developing a team of Clinical Nurses. You will be the day to day support for the team, owning accountability and responsibility for a team of Clinical Nurses.
This is an exciting leadership opportunity for a clinically strong Registered Nurse who is passionate about person-centred care, clinical governance and innovation. You’ll work closely with teams across the business and contribute to shaping how clinical services are delivered in a changing aged care landscape, including Support at Home reforms and the Strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards.
What you’ll be doing
Clinical Leadership
- Coordinate and oversee clinical care for complex and high-risk customers, ensuring safe, high-quality, person-centred outcomes
- Provide clinical governance expertise aligned with the Aged Care Act and Quality Standards
- Act as an escalation point for complex clinical matters and collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve issues effectively
- Partner with the Clinical Manager to drive clinical excellence, continuous improvement and team effectiveness
- Monitor clinical team productivity and efficiency, ensuring service levels and outcomes are achieved
People Leadership
- Lead, coach and mentor Clinical Nurses to build and maintain a high-performing, engaged team
- Set clear performance expectations and conduct regular reviews to support accountability and development
- Manage resources effectively while fostering an inclusive, supportive team culture
Collaboration & Innovation
- Work with cross-functional teams to support service innovation and best practice care models
- Contribute clinical insights to organisational planning and decision-making
Quality, Risk & Continuous Improvement
- Identify gaps in clinical care through audits, feedback and reporting
- Implement corrective actions and quality improvement initiatives
- Contribute to the development and refinement of policies, procedures and SOPs
- Support risk management activities and future process improvements
What You’ll Bring
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
- Experience managing clinically complex cases and/or case management
- Proven experience in clinical team lead role or similar
- Strong knowledge of the aged care sector, particularly home and community care is highly regarded
- Understanding of the Aged Care Quality Standards and Support at Home is highly regarded
- Knowledge of fee-for-service clinical support and financial sustainability would be well-regarded
- Interest or experience in digital health and innovation (including the use of AI in healthcare)
- Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking and communication skills
