Responsibilities
- Lead the onboarding process for new clients, designing accounting system setup and ensuring a smooth transition.
- Own day-to-day bookkeeping operations, including accounts payable and receivable, monthly closings, and preparation of financial reports and analysis; review and guide junior staff’s work as needed.
- Use company software to complete accounting, reporting, and tax-related tasks with a high degree of accuracy and efficiency.
- Prepare and review payroll, sales tax returns, depreciation schedules, and other accounting documents in line with professional standards.
- Lead audit preparation and manage the reconciliation process end-to-end to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.
- Analyze financial data to forecast revenue, evaluate profit margins, and surface insights for clients and internal stakeholders.
- Prepare and file U.S. corporate and individual income tax returns (including 1099s and year-end filings).
- Research complex tax and accounting issues and provide practical, well-reasoned solutions.
- Identify opportunities to improve clients’ accounting, tax, and financial processes.
- Participate in company-wide improvement initiatives.
- Lead special projects and financial report preparation as needed, and mentor junior team members.
Requirements
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, business, or a related field.
- 4-5+ years of experience in accounting, audit, and/or tax.
- Prior experience in an outsourced/multi-client accounting environment required.
- Turkish CPA (SMMM) License strongly preferred.
- USGAAP experience is a big plus; comprehensive training will be provided.
- Prior experience reviewing or mentoring junior accounting staff preferred.
Technical Skills
- Extensive knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
- Strong experience with Accounting Software Systems.
- Ability to conduct sophisticated and creative analysis of complex data.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Business English — all interviews will be conducted in English!

Location: Home office
Work hours will be based on US TIME ZONES (Eastern Time)
Travel might be required.
