Job Description
The Sales Finance Analyst LATAM (Brazil Region) will provide financial and analytical support to the Sales Finance team.
This role is responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and validating commercial activities — including pricing, discounts, trade spend, promotions, rebates, and customer contracts — ensuring alignment with Mattel’s financial targets, compliance standards, and internal control policies (SOX).
The position will be based in Mexico (hybrid mode), reporting to the LATAM Sales Finance leadership, and will play a key role in supporting business decisions with analytical insights and accurate financial controls.
What You’ll Do
- Manage trade spend, promotions, and rebates budgets, monitoring monthly execution and analyzing variances against plan.
- Validate and control customer balances, ensuring accuracy across commercial terms, provisions, rebates, and credit notes.
- Review and manage customer contracts on a monthly basis, verifying compliance, recording financial provisions, and ensuring payments or credits are issued accurately and on time, in coordination with Finance, Accounts Receivable (AR), and Legal teams.
- Support the monthly financial closing process, including commercial account reconciliations, journal entries, and supporting documentation.
- Prepare and update quarterly and annual forecasts for revenue, discounts, promotions, and margins in line with regional and global planning cycles.
- Collaborate closely with Sales, AR, and Logistics teams to ensure accurate execution of commercial agreements and payment terms.
- Deliver financial analysis and recommendations to the Associate Manager
Qualifications
Who We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s Degree Finance or Engineering
- 1–2 years in Sales Finance, FP&A, or Commercial Finance roles focused on trade spend, pricing, or revenue management. and
- 1–2 years Prior experience in FMCG, retail, or multinational companies with complex commercial structures preferred.
- 1–2 years Familiarity with closing, forecasting, and customer reconciliation processes.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, complex formulas, financial modeling, macros).
- Knowledge of Business Intelligence tools such as Tableau or similar.
- Experience using Salesforce for customer and promotion tracking.
- Familiarity with Oracle ERP or similar systems.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles, provisions, P&L, and SOX internal control policies.
