We offer live, cohort-based online courses led by industry experts. Our goal is to empower experts to teach directly to their audience, making education more accessible. We cover subjects like AI, Product, Leadership, Design, Data & Engineering, Marketing & Sales, and Business & Finance. We’re building a marketplace for these expert-led courses.

We’ve raised $25 million from investors including Andreessen Horowitz and First Round. Our founders are Gagan Biyani (Udemy co-founder), Wes Kao (altMBA co-founder), and Shreyans Bhansali (Socratic co-founder, early Venmo engineer). We have a team of 11-50 employees.

Our mission is to empower experts to teach what they love and to build the “university of the future.” We believe that community is vital for online learning, and that hands-on projects are the most effective way to learn. We also want to give students worldwide access to top instructors, breaking down geographical barriers.

Maven is a 100% remote company, with work often focused within US time zones (US time zone +/- 1 hour). The team is diverse and passionate.
