Senior D365 F&SC Pre-Sales Solution Architect – Manufacturing & Distribution

The Opportunity
MCA Connect is seeking a Senior Pre-Sales Solution Architect to lead solution strategy and architecture for complex enterprise transformation opportunities within the Manufacturing and Distribution industries.
This senior, client-facing role combines industry expertise, Dynamics 365 delivery experience, enterprise architecture, and pre-sales leadership. You will collaborate with Sales, Delivery, Industry Solutions, Data & AI, Organizational Change Management, and technical teams to create solutions that are compelling to clients, commercially sound, and executable by Delivery.

In this role, you will help MCA Connect win complex enterprise transformation opportunities, differentiate through deep Manufacturing and Distribution expertise, and improve the quality and consistency of our solution architecture. Your work will strengthen collaboration across Sales and Delivery, reduce downstream implementation risk, and help clients achieve measurable business outcomes through Microsoft technology.
What You’ll Do
Lead end-to-end solution architecture for complex Microsoft Dynamics 365 transformation opportunities.
Translate client objectives, business requirements, and operating models into integrated future-state solutions.
Architect solutions spanning Dynamics 365 Finance, Supply Chain Management, Customer Engagement, Data & AI, Power Platform, integration, and Organizational Change Management.
Lead discovery sessions, workshops, RFP responses, demonstrations, solution presentations, and executive discussions.
Develop solution narratives that connect business challenges with Microsoft capabilities and measurable outcomes.
Serve as a trusted advisor to client executives and functional and technical stakeholders.
Apply firsthand Manufacturing and Distribution knowledge across supply chain, procurement, manufacturing, warehousing, transportation, inventory, order management, finance, customer engagement, and analytics.
Define integration strategies across Dynamics 365, legacy systems, third-party solutions, ISVs, EDI, e-commerce, WMS, TMS, MES, PLM, and other enterprise platforms.
Identify opportunities to leverage Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, Azure, Copilot, and agentic AI.
Develop implementation approaches, estimates, resource plans, assumptions, timelines, and risk considerations in partnership with Delivery.
Partner with Sales and Delivery to create accurate, comprehensive Statements of Work.
Ensure commitments made during the sales process are understood and executable by Delivery.
Lead the transition from Pre-Sales to Delivery and support project mobilization as needed.
Mentor other Solution Architects and contribute to reusable demonstrations, industry assets, methodologies, and intellectual property.
Support customer workshops, webinars, conferences, and other demand-generation activities.
Required Qualifications
10+ years of experience in enterprise technology consulting, ERP, business transformation, solution architecture, or a related field.
Deep, firsthand experience within Manufacturing and/or Distribution.
Significant experience implementing and architecting Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Supply Chain Management.
Experience with Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement and the broader Microsoft business applications ecosystem.
Proven ability to architect complex, enterprise-scale solutions across multiple technology domains.
Significant experience in both solution delivery and pre-sales.
Experience developing estimates, resource plans, implementation approaches, and Statements of Work.
Strong understanding of enterprise integration, data, analytics, and technology architecture.
Ability to advise and influence C-suite executives as well as business, functional, and technical stakeholders.
Excellent presentation, facilitation, written, and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple pursuits and drive activities through completion.
Ability to travel for client engagements, workshops, conferences, and other business needs.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, Azure, Power Platform, Copilot, or AI.
Experience with advanced Dynamics 365 Supply Chain capabilities, including WMS, TMS, planning, or manufacturing.
Experience with discrete, process, or lean manufacturing.
Experience with demand planning in make-to-stock and make-to-order environments.
Experience with configure-to-order, configure-price-quote, or other advanced product configuration solutions.
Experience with Organizational Change Management and enterprise transformation.
Experience developing industry-specific accelerators, methodologies, or solution frameworks.
Experience competing against SAP, Oracle, Infor, or other enterprise platforms.
