Overview
We are seeking a hands-on, data-driven Director of Marketing to lead and execute our ecommerce marketing strategy across all channels. This is a builder role for someone who thrives in both strategy and execution.
You have managed ad accounts, built email flows, optimized landing pages, and driven measurable growth. You will lead a high-performing team and external partners while remaining directly involved in campaign execution, testing, analysis, and optimization.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy and Leadership
Develop and own an integrated marketing strategy across paid, owned, and earned channels
Translate company growth goals into actionable marketing plans, budgets, and KPIs
Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of acquisition and retention specialists
Collaborate cross-functionally with Ecommerce, Creative, Product Launch, and Merchandising teams to drive revenue growth
Hands-On Channel Management
We work with agency partners, but you are comfortable stepping in and executing when needed.
Google Ads: Oversee Search, Shopping, and PMAX campaigns. Propose keyword, bidding, and creative tests
Meta Ads: Oversee Facebook and Instagram campaigns, analyze performance, and lead creative testing to improve ROAS
Email and SMS: Work directly in Klaviyo and Attentive to optimize flows, test subject lines, and drive retention
Affiliate and Influencer Marketing: Manage and track partners through platforms such as Impact, CJ, and Rakuten
SEO: Oversee content strategy and technical improvements in partnership with developers
Other Paid Channels: Test and scale emerging platforms such as TikTok, YouTube, and CTV where ROI potential is strong
Analytics and Optimization
Build and maintain performance dashboards using GA4, Shopify, Looker Studio, and related tools
Lead a culture of testing and iteration to continuously improve CAC, ROAS, LTV, and MER
Analyze full-funnel data and customer journeys to identify growth opportunities
Collaboration and Execution
Partner with creative teams to brief and review ads, landing pages, and lifecycle assets
Coordinate product launches, promotions, and integrated campaigns
Manage marketing budgets and ensure profitable scaling of spend
Qualifications
7 or more years of marketing experience with direct, hands-on management of paid and owned channels
Proven success managing Google Ads, Meta Ads, Email and SMS, Affiliate, and SEO programs
Advanced experience with Shopify, GA4, Amazon Seller Central, and advertising platforms
Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to both strategize and execute
Experience in a startup or high-growth DTC environment preferred

Work Location
This role may be onsite, hybrid, or remote, depending on the location of the selected candidate. The final work arrangement will be confirmed prior to hire.
