Junior Project Manager

Job description

About the Role

Mod Op is seeking a Junior Project Manager to join our expanding Search Experience team — someone who is passionate about how work gets done and how teams collaborate. This role sits at the intersection of SEO strategy, delivery, and collaboration. You’ll support search-focused initiatives across technical SEO, content optimization, audits, and implementation, helping ensure projects stay organized, properly resourced, and moving forward.

We’re looking for someone early in their project management journey who is curious, proactive, and genuinely passionate about their work. Someone who takes pride in doing things well, asks thoughtful questions, and wants to grow inside a modern, search-forward team.

What You’ll Do

Support SEO

  • Coordinate day-to-day SEO work across both ongoing retainers and project-based initiatives.
  • Build timelines, task plans, and delivery schedules for SEO initiatives.
  • Track progress, milestones, and dependencies across teams.
  • Support Design, Development and QA workflows to ensure SEO work is executed correctly.

Collaborate Across Teams

  • Work closely with the Search team, Technical Project managers, and Account managers.
  • Support smooth handoffs between strategy, execution, review, and release.
  • Schedule meetings, capture notes, and track next steps.
  • Communicate clearly, follow through on commitments, and surface risks early.

Resource Management (Search-Focused)

  • Support resource forecasting for the Search Experience team, including hour allocations across retainers, projects, and audits.
  • Monitor utilization at a high level, including capacity constraints, PTO coverage, and resourcing risks.
  • Help adjust resource plans as scope shifts or new work comes in.

Documentation & Process

  • Keep project documentation organized, accurate, and up to date.
  • Follow established workflows while identifying opportunities to improve how work gets done.
  • Support ticket creation and tracking in tools such as Jira or similar systems.

What We’re Looking For

  • 1–3 years of experience in project coordination and digital marketing

  • Exposure to SEO workflows, website updates, or audit-driven projects

  • Experience working with cross-functional teams.

  • Proficient in English (written and spoken) to collaborate with global teams and stakeholders. (Mandatory)

Skills & Mindset

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Clear, thoughtful, written and verbal communication

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks without losing focus or quality.

  • Foundational understanding of SEO concepts and terminology

  • Comfort working with project management and collaboration tools.

Soft Skills Matter Here

  • A true team player who enjoys supporting others
  • Curious, motivated, and eager to learn.
  • Takes ownership and follows through.
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Responsible, disciplined, and takes initiative
  • Passionate about doing good work and improving processes.
  • Comfortable asking questions and growing through feedback.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in a Marketing agency or search-focused team.

  • Familiarity with SEO tools such as Airtable, Google Search Console, SEMrush, or Screaming Frog.

  • Exposure to CMS or development workflows

  • Experience assisting with resourcing, forecasting, or utilization tracking.

  • Health and Life Insurance for employees and family, access to Vision benefits, Telemedicine services, Psychology support and others.

  • On the job training and career growth opportunities.

  • Access to LinkedIn courses.

  • Fully remote job.

  • Talented team environment, collaborative offices, fun company culture with a great balance of work and play.

  • Vacations are granted by day or weeks according to the employee’s approved request.

  • Salary with yearly review and competitive benefits.

  • Competitive compensation based on experience and skill set.
