Job Description
Mission Summary:
The Perception Intern will support the development and evaluation of end-to-end models for autonomous driving, building on existing perception systems to enable planning and decision-making. This role involves working with multi-modal sensor data, computer vision models, and learning-based planning approaches to extend perception outputs into downstream driving tasks.
The internship will take place in our Singapore office and we expect a full-time internship period of at least 5 months. We offer flexible working hours and allow for remote work. The candidate will however have to live in Singapore for the duration of the internship.
Responsibilities:
- Support the design and implementation of end-to-end or perception-to-planning models for autonomous driving
- Analyze multi-modal sensor data (e.g., images, video, lidar, radar) to improve model performance and robustness
- Conduct experiments to evaluate and benchmark different model designs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate model outputs into downstream decision-making systems
- Document experiments, model designs, and results in clear and reproducible formats
Required Skills:
- Currently pursuing a Master’s or PhD degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Robotics, or a related field
- Proficient in Python and/or C++
- Coursework or project experience in computer vision and machine learning
- Familiarity with deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow
- Experience working with structured or unstructured sensor data (e.g., images, video, point clouds)
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with autonomous driving, robotics, or learning-based planning
- Exposure to end-to-end models, trajectory prediction, or action/behavior modeling
- Experience with 3D perception, point cloud processing, or multi-sensor fusion
- Familiarity with evaluation frameworks and datasets for autonomous systems
- Project or internship experience involving foundation models (e.g., VLM, VLA) or perception-to-action pipelines
