About Wisk
We are an Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) company that develops all-electric, autonomous, passenger-carrying air taxis in the U.S. Our team started exploring electric, vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) flight in 2010. Since then, we have developed multiple generations of aircraft, from Generation 1 in 2011 to Generation 6 in 2024. We have conducted over 1,750 test flights.
In 2023, we became a fully-owned subsidiary of Boeing. This relationship allows us to use Boeing’s expertise in development, testing, and certification, while we continue to operate independently.
We aim to make aviation safer, more scalable, and more accessible through autonomy. We integrate safety into our designs, striving to meet or exceed commercial aviation standards. This includes an iterative design process and using multiple triple-redundant systems to avoid single points of failure. Our testing includes comprehensive component evaluations, high-fidelity simulations (covering adverse conditions and contingency scenarios), and using surrogate aircraft as flying test beds. We are working towards Type, Production, and Operation certifications.
