Job Description

NBCUniversal Advertising Products & Solutions (AP&S) is responsible for the product development and project management of NBCUniversal’s full advertising technology suite. From sales support to campaign execution, delivery, and billing, our division services both internal and external customers in support of NBCUniversal’s $7B+ annual advertising business. Together, we’re building the platform that powers the future of advertising at NBCU.

The Advanced Products and Activation team within Advertising Products & Solutions is looking for a Product Manager, Workflow Automation, to help us deeply understand how Ad Sales operates today—and to reimagine how it should operate tomorrow. This role sits at the intersection of business process, automation, and AI, with a mandate to simplify and streamline how our internal teams and external partners transact within & with our company. This role will work across all business groups to organize, shape and evangelize the automation work (including AI) taking place across the product organization, with a goal to call out duplication and/or synergies and to create a space for collaboration.

The ideal candidate is a highly collaborative product manager who is passionate about media and automation, and who brings strong product execution skills, stakeholder communication abilities, technical fluency, and a willingness to take ownership where needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Become a deep expert in NBCU’s Ad Sales landscape & processes, understanding end-to-end workflows, internally and externally, across all lines of business & identify pain points, inefficiencies and manual processes.
  • Support and execute automation strategies that improve the way NBCU Ad Sales groups do business, via system to systems and AI.
  • Partner closely with Sales, Strategy, Planning, Ad Operations, Insights & Measurement, Product, and Data teams to create thoughtful solutions & ensure there is no duplication of efforts
  • Drive alignment across teams to ensure automated workflows work horizontally across the broader ecosystem and integrate cleanly with existing systems and tools.
  • Generate & own cross functional Automation/AI roadmap in collaboration with all business groups & flag synergies across teams to increase value return
  • Ensure external-facing automation improves the partner and client experience, reducing friction in how we transact, communicate, and execute.
  • Lead the organization and communication of all Automation work to leadership and the business at large
  • Create vendor engagement frameworks that product groups can leverage across the business when exploring new AI opportunities.
  • Track insights and contribute to KPI development to evaluate and optimize existing product capabilities

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in product management within the advertising, streaming, or data-driven media ecosystem, ad tech or AI space.
  • Experience owning product workflows in cross-functional environments
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with senior stakeholders when needed
  • Impact driven, with a focus on real efficiency gains
  • Experience collaborating with internal and external stakeholder teams to deliver advertising or media products
  • Demonstrated ability to translate business needs into product requirements
  • Ability to operate independently, take initiative, and pick up ownership in ambiguous or fast-moving areas
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously
  • Comfort working with technical concepts (e.g., MCPs, APIs, data pipelines, metadata systems, agile development practices)
  • Proficiency in Excel and JIRA

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with NBCU’s portfolio, streaming products, and advertising capabilities
  • Knowledge of digital ad serving, streaming ad tech, and data-targeted advertising mechanics, advertising key players, pitch to pay processes

Additional Requirements:

Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of four days per week.

Salary range: $120,000 - $160,000 (bonus eligible)
