Job Description
As a Staff Systems Engineer (ForgeRock Identity), you will play a vital role in designing, implementing, and maintaining ForgeRock Identity and Access Management (IAM) for standardized consumer facing identity solutions for NBCUniversal and its brands. You will be responsible for understanding customer requirements, configuring ForgeRock products, creating custom components, troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, and ensuring smooth deployments.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the IAM team to design and architect ForgeRock solutions that align with customer requirements and best practices in identity and access management.
- Deploy and configure ForgeRock products, including ForgeRock Identity Management (IDM), Access Management (AM), Identity Gateway (IG) and Directory Services (DS), based on project specifications and design documents.
- Develop custom components and extensions using ForgeRock Identity Management and Access Management interfaces and APIs to meet unique customer needs.
- Integrate ForgeRock products with various third-party applications, directories, and identity providers to create comprehensive IAM ecosystems.
- Investigate and resolve technical issues related to ForgeRock deployments, providing timely support to clients during implementation and post-production phases.
- Ensure ForgeRock implementations adhere to security standards and compliance requirements, protecting sensitive user data and access privileges.
- Create detailed technical documentation, including installation guides, configuration documents, and operational procedures to support seamless knowledge transfer.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest ForgeRock developments, industry trends, and emerging IAM technologies, recommending improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of IAM solutions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience
- 6+ years of related Engineering experience
- 3+ years of experience working with ForgeRock Identity and Access Management products, including ForgeRock IDM, AM, IG, and DS.
- Strong knowledge of identity and access management concepts, protocols, and standards (e.g., OAuth, SAML, LDAP, FIDO2).
- Hands-on experience with implementation, configuration, and customization of ForgeRock products in enterprise environments.
- Proficiency in Java programming for customizing and extending ForgeRock solutions.
- Familiarity with web technologies such as HTML, JavaScript, and REST APIs.
- Demonstrated experience designing and implementing high-availability solutions for handling internet scale traffic.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
- Good understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with clients and team members.
- ForgeRock certifications (e.g., ForgeRock Certified Identity Management Specialist, ForgeRock Certified Access Management Specialist) are a plus.

- Fully Remote: This position has been designated as fully remote, meaning that the position is expected to contribute from a non-NBCUniversal worksite, most commonly an employee’s residence.
This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks.
