Job Description
So, what are the main responsibilities of a Windows Packaging Engineer in Netcompany?
As a Windows Packaging Engineer, you will:
- Create MSI packages with InstallShield according to the client’s recommendations.
- Create virtual App-V packages with InstallShield and Microsoft Application Virtualization.
- Assess applications and compatibility tests under Windows.
- Deploy Windows packages with SCCM.
- Deploy Windows packages deployment with InTune.
- Create PowerShell scripts in order to deploy applications.
- Support and troubleshoot for deployed packages.
Qualifications
What would make you a fit for the role:
- University Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field.
- Extensive knowledge in Packaging tools such as InstallShield, Microsoft Application Virtualization, SCCM and InTune.
- Good command in scripting language such as PowerShell, VBScript.
- Good Knowledge of MS Windows OS family / Understanding of Windows architecture and APP-V Infrastructure.
- Ability to troubleshoot (analyse and debug) software malfunctions.
- Knowledge of GPO/ local policies and Local Firewall Rules.
- Excellent written and oral communications skills in English; knowledge of French/any other EU languages is an asset.
- Knowledge of/or experience in ITIL environment and previous experience working with European Institutions is a plus.
Working Conditions:
- Work shifts of 8 hours covering the time range between 07h00 and 20h00 from Monday to Friday with some flexibility required when overtime is exceptionally needed.
