The Vice President, Procurement is New Era Technology’s first enterprise procurement leader and will build and lead a centralized procurement function across all entities, regions and business lines. Reporting to the CFO, this role will establish procurement strategy, policy and governance; lead strategic sourcing and category management; develop supplier partnerships; and oversee a hybrid team of internal and outsourced resources. The Vice President, Procurement will partner with Finance, IT, Operations and business leaders to deliver cost-effective, compliant and scalable purchasing that supports company growth.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

  • Build and lead the retained procurement organization, including the Director of Procurement Operations, category managers and a Contracts / CLM Manager; transition buying roles from acquired entities into the centralized model.
  • Evaluate, select and contract the outsourced/offshore execution partner; define retained-versus-outsourced scope, service-level agreements (SLAs) and the transition plan, and manage ongoing partner performance.
  • Implement a single enterprise source-to-pay process, purchasing policy and intake process, bringing regional purchasing, including Brazil and Mexico, into the enterprise model.
  • Enforce delegation of authority through preventive, system-based controls, including corporate card and off-PO spend; partner with the Controller, Accounts Payable and Treasury on vendor-master and banking-detail changes.
  • Own enterprise vendor-master and contract standards, including a central contract repository and renewal calendar; partner with General Counsel and GRC on third-party risk.
  • Develop category strategies for IT hardware, software and SaaS, telecom, distribution, field-services subcontracting and indirect spend; consolidate supplier contracts into enterprise agreements with improved pricing, terms and rebates.
  • Define the procurement charter for internal-use purchasing (CIO) and customer-facing/resale purchasing (CTO), including an escalation path for shared vendors.
  • Shape procurement systems requirements as part of the Business Central and ConnectWise consolidation, spend-management platform and contract repository.
  • Build the enterprise spend cube, dashboards and KPIs; report performance and compliance to the CFO and executive team, ensuring reported benefits are validated by Finance.

EXPERIENCE:

  • 15+ years of procurement or supply chain experience, including at least 7 years leading procurement teams at director level or above.
  • Proven record of building or centralizing procurement in a multi-entity organization, ideally one grown through acquisitions.
  • Direct experience designing and managing a hybrid model with an outsourced or offshore procurement partner, including SLA definition, transition and ongoing governance.
  • Strong technology category experience, including IT hardware, software and SaaS, telecom, and technology distribution (e.g., national/global IT distributors and OEM partner programs).
  • Track record of supplier consolidation and negotiating enterprise agreements, pricing, terms and rebate programs.
  • Working knowledge of source-to-pay controls, including delegation of authority, vendor-master governance, segregation of duties and fraud prevention.
  • Experience implementing or optimizing procurement and ERP systems, spend analytics and contract lifecycle management tools.
  • Experience leading across U.S. and international operations, including Latin America.
  • Background in an IT solutions provider, systems integrator, value-added reseller or managed services company, with exposure to purchasing for internal use and customer resale.
  • PREFERRED: Experience in a private equity-backed or high-growth environment with a defined value-creation timeline.
  • PREFERRED: Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics Business Central, ConnectWise, Power BI / Fabric or comparable platforms.
  • PREFERRED: Exposure to third-party risk management frameworks (e.g., ISO 27036, NIST SP 800-161) and ESG supply-chain reporting.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, understand, and interpret job-related documents, instructions, policies, and communications in English. Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, with employees, customers, vendors, and other business partners, as applicable to the position.

REQUIRED EDUCATION / CERTIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, finance or a related field. MBA and/or professional certification (CPSM, CIPS, CPM) preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Regular use of hands and fingers to operate a computer, keyboard, mouse, and other office equipment, including repetitive motions such as typing, scrolling, and mouse use. Ability to communicate effectively and understand verbal communication in person, by telephone, and through video conferencing or other remote communication tools. Ability to view and read information on computer screens and printed materials, including the ability to adjust focus. The position requires prolonged periods of computer use and viewing a computer screen.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: U.S.-based role with travel to U.S. and international sites.

EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK: This position generally operates during normal business hours; however, specific start and end times may vary based on business needs, workload, and job responsibilities. Occasional work outside of normal business hours may be required.
