Job Title: Wireless Engineer
Location: Remote
Role Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Wireless Engineer with strong expertise in Juniper Mist Wireless solutions to support a global migration project from Cisco wireless infrastructure to Juniper Mist. The resource will be involved in planning, deployment, troubleshooting, and supporting wireless operations during and post migration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the planning and execution of a global wireless migration from Cisco to Juniper Mist.
- Support configuration, deployment, and troubleshooting of Juniper Mist Access Points and wireless controllers.
- Work closely with senior engineers and project managers to ensure seamless rollout across global sites.
- Maintain detailed documentation of wireless network configurations, changes, and procedures.
- Provide Tier 1–2 support for wireless network issues during and after the migration.
- Participate in testing and validation of wireless designs, hardware, and connectivity performance.
- Ensure adherence to security, compliance, and operational standards throughout the migration process.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 7–12 years of hands-on experience in wireless network engineering.
- Working knowledge of Juniper Mist wireless solutions and related tools.
- Basic experience with Cisco networking technologies (IOS / NX-OS).
- Basic experience with Cisco Wireless LAN Controllers (WLC).
- Basic familiarity with Arista EOS and network devices.
- Strong understanding of wireless networking concepts including RF fundamentals and WLAN design.
- Experience with wireless monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Exposure to automation tools such as Ansible / Python scripting.
- Experience in enterprise-scale wireless migrations or refresh projects.
- Certifications such as CWNA / JNCIA / Mist AI certifications will be an added advantage.
Recruiter Notes (Must Check):
- Candidate should have direct Juniper Mist experience (mandatory/preferred strongly).
- Migration experience from Cisco wireless environment is a big plus.
- Strong troubleshooting and global enterprise exposure preferred.
