So, what’s the role all about?
Specialist Automation Engineer is responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of web applications through a combination of manual and automated end‑to‑end testing. The role involves designing and maintaining scalable automation frameworks, executing hybrid test strategies, and leveraging AI agents to accelerate automation and improve test coverage. This position may operate in a US‑shift model and requires close collaboration with cross‑functional teams to troubleshoot issues, integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines, and deliver high‑quality product releases.
How will you make an impact?
Serve as Subject Matter Expert for core components, ensuring quality ownership throughout the product lifecycle.
Define and drive the test strategy and quality roadmap for complex web applications and integrated systems.
Oversee automation infrastructure and integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines for seamless delivery.
Lead automated data generation to ensure robust, repeatable testing across environments.
Mentor junior and mid-level engineers to foster technical excellence and professional growth.
Refine SDLC and STLC processes to balance best practices with team agility.
Lead internal training and adopt industry trends to evolve team capabilities.
Oversee critical production issue resolution and perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
Analyze complex data to solve technical problems and reach informed conclusions.
Act as the R&D Point of Contact for QA metrics and KPIs.
Partner with Product, UI/UX , Support, and R&D teams to align quality goals.
Have you got what it takes?
B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science, Industrial/Electronic Engineering.
8 to 11 years of experience in IT as Automation QA Engineer.
8+ years of experience in UI Automation testing.
Playwright equivalent UI testing tools
Languages Typescript/ Java/Javascript
Experience in using API through automation framework.
Experienced working with Databases, writing SQL queries for data validation.
Desirable to have knowledge of Cloud services like AWS.
Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins.
Exposure to AI tools like GitHub Copilot, Claude code or equivalent.
Experience leveraging AI agents to accelerate Root Cause Analysis (RCA), implementing self-healing automation, and validating AI model integrity
You will have an advantage if you also have:
ISTQB Certified, ISTQB® Certified Tester - AI Testing (CT-AI) or equivalent
Experienced with defect management and tracking tools, preferably Jira.
Excellent communication skills, very good English.
