We help teams understand data better. Our platform provides tools for visualizing data through code, UI, or AI, making it easier to see and explore.

We offer a platform for data analysis, visualization, and collaboration. It includes a collaborative canvas for faster data exploration, tools for creating interactive dashboards and embeds, and features for building with AI. Users can interact with data by brushing and filtering, connect to databases like Snowflake, DuckDB, Postgres, and Databricks, and share their work by embedding into other apps, sending URLs, or exporting to PNG.

We also maintain open-source tools such as D3.js and Observable Plot. In 2024, we launched Observable Framework, an open-source static site generator for data apps. Our community hub, Observable Notebooks, lets developers prototype visualizations, test ideas, build from community examples, and share work. Millions of Notebooks have been created, and our open-source tools have seen widespread adoption.
