THE ROLE: DIRECTOR OF SALES - WALMART
Reporting to our Sr Director of Sales – Walmart, this role will serve as an interim director during the leave of absence of our team member and will serve as key leader within our WBC team and will be an important “face of the WBC brands” to the customer. Strategy, leadership, and coaching will be key skills for this role. We are seeking commitment to culture, building a positive team, and building collaboration and alignment across the organization. The WBC operating companies include SmartyPants, Onnit, Welly, and OLLY. This role will manage a team overseeing sales, replenishment, and analytics.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead OLLY’s Walmart sales to maximize growth, support partnership, and deliver to sales objectives
Support ASP collaboration with key stakeholders at Walmart + across our operating companies.
Drive the customer partnerships: lead in meetings and in collaboration with our customers to ensure true partnership spirit
Manage the on-going annual plan for Walmart, providing critical customer input into development of company go-to-market strategies in process
Utilize customer insights and implement the sales best practices
Drive collaboration with brand, marketing, supply chain to align on goals and deliver AOP
Build strong external and internal relationships with our internal parnters customers
Execute the Walmart strategy that supports growth, responds to dynamic market environments, and builds into the overall corporate strategic plan
Articulate the WBC’s unique positioning to deliver growth, support activation plans, and drive the business forward
Be an ambassador of our team values (Be Yourself, Be Disruptive, Be Passionate, Be Supportive) and contribute to the culture to make it better for all of us!
Develop and inspire the team; elevate their voice, and ensure the team feels supported to drive the plan
CAPABILITIES + SKILLS REQUIRED
7-12 years of experience in CPG Sales and/or Retail Merchant/Buyer with a proven track record of success working with multiple top tier retailers (5+ years Walmart experience preferred)
Proven ability to lead sales for a business area, with 2+ years of people leadership experience
Deep P&L and Trade Budget knowledge and ownership experience
Proven ability to build customer relationships and develop a high level of trust
Proven ability to drive eCommerce sales & customer experience
Entrepreneurial spirit, tenacity, dependability, integrity, and innovative sensibility
Ability to influence cross-functionally and build capabilities for the team
Personally, and professionally motivated to deliver results and get things done
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and multitasking ability
Strong negotiation skills in” getting to yes” with retail partners
Energized and passionate about building a transformational company in today’s marketplace.
Ability to change information into insights for actionable growth

LOCATION: Northwest Arkansas preferred, will consider remote with strong Walmart experience
HOURS: full time, exempt (salaried)
