Job Summary:
The Growth Support Manager plays a critical role in enabling the sales team to win new business by translating client needs into clear, compelling commercial proposals. Working closely with the Growth (Sales) team and Delivery leaders, the Growth Support Manager ensures opportunities are accurately scoped, professionally presented, and effectively transitioned into delivery once sold. This role sits at the intersection of sales, proposal development, and delivery coordination, ensuring that opportunities move smoothly from initial client conversation through to project handover.
The ideal candidate is highly organised, commercially aware, and confident working with multiple stakeholders to turn complex client requirements into structured proposals and clear scopes of work.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Opportunity Support
Participate in selected client meetings alongside the Partnerships team to capture requirements and support the commercial conversation.
Translate client needs into structured opportunity briefs that inform proposal development.
Prepare tailored credentials decks and sales materials for client conversations.
Proposal Development:
- Lead the development of high-quality proposals and statements of work (SOWs).
- Collaborate with delivery teams to scope projects accurately, including timelines, resourcing, and deliverables.
- Ensure proposals are clear, compelling, and aligned with company standards and pricing frameworks.
- Coordinate internal input required to complete proposals within agreed timelines.
Deal Coordination & Internal Alignment:
- Work with sales and delivery teams to ensure commercial opportunities are properly scoped and documented before closing.
- Track proposal development progress and ensure deadlines are met across multiple opportunities.
- Maintain documentation related to opportunities, proposals, and commercial agreements.
Project Handover to Delivery Team:
- Facilitate a seamless transition of sold projects from the sales team to the delivery team.
- Provide all necessary documentation and background information to the delivery team to ensure project success.
- Act as a liaison between sales and delivery teams to address any questions or issues during the handover process.
Project Handover to Delivery:
Coordinate the transition of sold opportunities to delivery teams.
Ensure delivery teams receive complete and accurate documentation, including scope, timelines, and key client expectations.
Facilitate alignment between sales and delivery to ensure a smooth project kickoff.
Experience
3–6 years’ experience in a role supporting consultative sales, proposals, or commercial operations.
Experience preparing proposals, statements of work, or client-facing commercial documentation.
Experience working with cross-functional teams (sales, delivery, operations or marketing).
Exposure to professional services, consulting, learning, digital, or technology environments is advantageous.
Skills & Capabilities
Strong proposal writing and commercial documentation skills, with the ability to translate client discussions into clear scopes of work.
Highly organised with strong project coordination and time management skills across multiple opportunities.
Excellent written communication and presentation development (particularly PowerPoint).
Comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams including sales, delivery, marketing, and operations.
Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality client-facing materials.
Confident using CRM and collaboration tools (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce, Monday, Asana or similar).
Able to work effectively in a fast-pace environment, managing multiple stakeholders and time zones.
Proactive, adaptable, and commercially curious, with a strong sense of ownership for delivering quality outputs.
