We are a federally registered financial institution, founded in 1954. We offer Banking-as-a-Service and commercial finance solutions, primarily for individuals and small to medium-size businesses underserved by traditional banks.
Our Partner Solutions provide banking infrastructure and technology to third-party partners for their banking programs. Our Commercial Finance segment offers financial solutions like commercial lending, premium financing for property and casualty industries, and tax-related financial transaction services to help businesses grow. We also provide consumer credit services.
We started as Storm Lake Savings and Loan Association in Iowa in 1954. After several name changes, including MetaBank, we rebranded as Pathward in 2022. We acquired AFS/IBEX in 2014, Refund Advantage in 2015, EPS Financial and Specialty Consumer Services in 2016, and Crestmark in 2018.
We are a Great Place to Work Certified company. We also received the 2024 Finovate Award and 2025 Fintech Breakthrough Award for Best Banking as a Service Provider.
