Job Title: SEO Specialist

Position Type: Full-Time, Remote

Working Hours: U.S. Client Business Hours (with flexibility for campaign deadlines, audits, and reporting cycles)

About the Role

Our client is seeking an SEO Specialist to improve website visibility, increase organic search rankings, and drive sustainable inbound traffic growth across digital properties.

This role requires a strong blend of technical SEO expertise, keyword strategy, content optimization, analytics, and problem-solving. The SEO Specialist will work closely with content, marketing, and development teams to ensure websites are search engine-friendly, technically optimized, and continuously improving in authority, rankings, and conversions.

The ideal candidate is analytical, proactive, detail-oriented, and passionate about staying ahead of SEO trends, algorithm updates, and organic growth opportunities.

Responsibilities

Keyword Research & SEO Strategy

• Conduct in-depth keyword research using tools such as SEMrush, Ahrefs, or Google Keyword Planner

• Map keywords to user intent, search behavior, and buyer journey stages

• Build SEO-driven content strategies aligned with organic traffic and conversion goals

• Identify content gaps, ranking opportunities, and competitor weaknesses

On-Page SEO Optimization

• Optimize metadata, title tags, headings, internal linking, image alt text, and URL structures

• Implement structured data and schema markup where applicable

• Ensure content remains SEO-friendly while maintaining readability and brand voice

• Perform content audits and provide recommendations for optimization or expansion

Technical SEO

• Conduct technical SEO audits using Screaming Frog, Sitebulb, SEMrush, or similar tools

• Identify and resolve crawl issues, indexation problems, duplicate content, broken links, and redirect errors

• Improve Core Web Vitals, page speed, mobile responsiveness, and overall site performance

• Manage XML sitemaps, robots.txt files, canonical tags, and crawl optimization strategies

Off-Page SEO & Link Building

• Develop ethical and scalable link-building strategies including outreach, partnerships, guest posting, and PR opportunities

• Monitor backlink profiles and identify toxic or low-quality links for cleanup/disavowal

• Improve domain authority and organic trust signals over time

Analytics & Reporting

• Track keyword rankings, organic traffic, engagement, and conversion performance using Google Analytics and Google Search Console

• Build dashboards and reporting systems in Looker Studio, Power BI, or similar tools

• Prepare weekly and monthly SEO performance reports with actionable insights and recommendations

• Analyze trends and adjust SEO strategies based on data and algorithm updates

Collaboration & SEO Support

• Partner with content writers, developers, designers, and marketing teams to execute SEO initiatives

• Provide SEO guidance during website redesigns, migrations, and product launches

• Support content planning and landing page optimization initiatives

Required Experience & Skills

• 2+ years of professional SEO experience

• Proficiency with SEO tools including SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, Google Analytics, and Google Search Console

• Strong understanding of technical SEO, on-page SEO, and off-page SEO best practices

• Experience working with CMS platforms such as WordPress, Webflow, or Shopify

• Understanding of keyword research, search intent, and organic growth strategy

Preferred Experience & Skills

• Experience improving rankings for competitive or high-volume keywords

• Familiarity with advanced technical SEO audits and structured data/schema markup

• Experience with international SEO or multi-language websites

• Exposure to SaaS, e-commerce, content publishing, or high-growth digital brands

• Basic understanding of HTML/CSS for SEO implementation collaboration

What Does a Typical Day Look Like?

An SEO Specialist’s day revolves around improving visibility, analyzing performance, and implementing optimization strategies. You will:

• Review rankings, traffic, and analytics dashboards to monitor SEO performance

• Conduct keyword research for upcoming campaigns, content, or landing pages

• Run technical site audits and prioritize fixes for developers

• Optimize existing pages to improve rankings, engagement, and conversions

• Collaborate with content teams on SEO-focused articles, landing pages, and site structure

• Prepare reports and communicate SEO insights to stakeholders and leadership

In essence: you are responsible for ensuring websites remain visible, technically healthy, authoritative, and continuously growing organic traffic and conversions.

• Improved keyword rankings (Top 3 positions / Page 1 visibility)

• Increased organic conversion rates and lead generation

• Reduced technical SEO issues and improved Core Web Vitals

• Improved domain authority and backlink quality over time
